Here are some amazing stories from the people who just finished it:

Hi,

I’ve done banting before and it worked well for me. Previously it didn’t work well for my wife so I stopped that lifestyle. This time is seems to work for my wife and I. The recipes are easy except that the measurements aren’t in metric which makes it difficult for us here is South Africa. [Note: it’s now possible to toggle all recipes between metric and US units. Use the buttons right under the “Ingredients” header. /Andreas]

My wife lost 6 kg (13 lbs) and I lost 3.5 kg (8 lbs).

I just miss my beer terribly.

Charl

Dear Andreas

I must admit that I was skeptical because all your advice seemed to fly in the face of conventional wisdom. And I won’t say that it was easy either and I nearly gave up a couple of times.

However, during the course of the last two weeks, my sugar cravings have completely gone. I feel a mental clarity that I was not expecting and of course I’m losing weight. I was 188 lbs (85 kg) and yesterday weighed in at 179 lbs (81 kg). This is astounding as I’ve been doing 5:2 for the last six months and had hit a plataeu that I just couldn’t seem to come off.

So, skeptical though I was, I’ve now become a member and intend to continue and combine this with intermittent fasting.

I’ve reached an epiphany and, hopefully, found a solution to life long yo-yo dieting.

With your help, I’ve reached an epiphany and, hopefully, found a solution to life long yo-yo dieting. Wish me luck!

Avani

Hello Andreas!

I did enjoy the course, simple easily available ingredients. It took me on a path I would never have anticipated – Pizza… However I enjoyed the ‘one pot’ meals very much. This is more my eating style but I am sure it was a great hit with others. Keeping a second helping aside for lunch the following day was a bit difficult as I have a strapping son, who seemed to find it and eat it!

I saw in one of your articles that you were collating weight loss: 7.7 kg (17 lbs) for me, my husband 3 kg (7 lbs) (he is not fully low carb just helping me for main meals).

Thank you to you and your team, I do enjoy your site and again thank you for thinking of simple foods that are economical and tasty. I did a course like this from a magazine in South Africa (where I live) and that was just boasting about how luxuriously you can eat, like prawns on a Monday night??? Asparagus and strawberries in winter etc. that was certainly a waste of Money.

Fond regards to you,

Monica

Good day Andreas from sunny Cape Town in South Africa,

I have thoroughly enjoyed doing the two week challenge. I’ve been following a banting lifestyle for the past year – initially lost 8 kg (18 lbs) and then seemed to stay stagnant and even picked up 2 kg (4 lbs). I’m female/54/ weigh 82 kg (181 lbs) /high percentage body fat. Other than my daily 3 km (1.9 miles) brisk walk along the beach with my dogs, I spend the rest of my life behind a desk.

I’ve eaten more food on a daily basis during this challenge than I usually eat, even though I only ate breakfast and supper (I didn’t usually have three meals a day and quite often only had one meal a day). Results: I lost 2 kg (4 lbs) and 20 cm (8 inches) (measured from arms, midriff, waist, hips, thighs). The cm loss truly astounded me – great incentive to continue.

Comments about the meal plan:

I didn’t like the fact that some meals, the food on my plate was all the same colour (brown/yellow/green) – especially very little foods from the red spectrum. Is that because they are high carb and should be avoided? (carrots, pumpkin, tomatoes)

Why was there so little red meat?

I found some of the ingredients to be rather expensive and had to make substitutions or just leave ingredients out. (e.g. salmon, sesame oil, white wine vinegar)

It would have been nice if maybe just on a Sunday there was a dessert.

I would have preferred to have a greater variety of vegetables and less cabbage.

I am going to continue with this strict keto plan – want to reach a goal weight of 75 kg (165 lbs) and a hip size of 97 cm (38 inches) (currently 111 cm – 44 inches). After that I might relax a little – will enjoy a banting lifestyle forever and see if I can maybe come down to 70-72 kg/92 cm hip (154-159 lbs/36 inches).

One thing I’ve taken to heart from what you said in a video is to not eat because it tastes nice, but to eat when you’re hungry. I used to snack on biltong and peanut butter – so that’s one habit that has changed.

Kind regards,

Dawn

Hello,

Since I’ve started I’ve lost over 7 pounds (3 kg). It has been very easy to do especially once you get past some of the cravings.

I truly do believe a low-carb diet is the way to go. Since I’ve started I’ve lost over 7 pounds (3 kg). It has been very easy to do especially once you get past some of the cravings. I know I’m addicted to sugar/carbs and I don’t like that feeling. On the standard American diet no matter what I ate, I always craved more. Now the cravings are gone but I know I have to be very careful to ensure I don’t fall back into that trap.

All of my medical numbers have decreased to healthier levels, even the Lpa—which it appears I have a genetic predisposition for higher numbers. I hope as I continue this way of life, things will improve more.

I have enjoyed the videos and information on the website and appreciate no advertisements. I’ve shared the site with family hoping to encourage better eating habits.

Thank you for inspiring me to a healthier and happier life!

Amy

Hi Andreas!

What a pleasant surprise that you contacted me for my input. I use your website frequently and find it well-worth the subscription fee. I applaud your work. I found your website through https://intensivedietarymanagement.com/. I found that site through Jason Fung’s video courses on YouTube. You guys have changed my life and improved my health. I can see me staying on LCHF and IF for the rest of my life.

You asked what I thought of the Low-Carb Challenge. What I found most useful are these:

I learned how to plan and build menus. I don’t always follow the specified meal-plans, but I can choose another or use those that are suggested as a guide.

I learned that I can eat a lot more butter; and, that I was taking far more protein and vegetables than I really need.

Seeing a photograph of a complete and balanced prepared meal is very helpful (how much food is on the plate, what you recommend on the side, and etc.).

The shopping lists are priceless.

The recipes are awesome – thanks!

I’ll think about ways that you could improve the challenge. For now, I think it’s fine as it is.

Have a great day today and thank you, sincerely!

Cindie

With that said I never realized we could eat so well, love the food and lose weight!

We were a little behind in our plan – we actually started on Wednesday. With that said I never realized we could eat so well, love the food and lose weight! My husband is on it with me because I do the cooking!❤️❤️ He is type 2 diabetic and says he is taking less insulin now. Yeah!!

So far we love it and we feel good.

I do have questions. While we love the menus I do miss my fruit. Any answers to that?

Sue

When I signed up, I didn’t think it would begin as soon as it did. I was at work on a boat with two 2 weeks to go and no way to get groceries. Being limited on food choices, I still gave it the old college try. I eliminated all carbs from non vegetable sources, used butter and olive oil to cook with and ate bacon eggs, and sausage. I still lost my first 14 lbs (6 kg) in those 14 days. I have since went to the store and bought some more keto friendly food.

Thank you for you website! I will continue to use it as a inspiration and a tool on my weight loss journey.

Andre

Hi there,

Just wanted to say how fantastic it was to do this challenge. I am 70 years young and have always been susceptible to gaining weight easily. (A sweet tooth has been my demon!). Particularly when pregnant as those were the days doctors encouraged you to ‘eat for you and the baby’… so I did gaining 19 kg (42 lbs) when carrying each child!

I always minimized fats, protein and sugar when previously dieting which has had little effect over the long term, as I always resorted back to the sugar, high-carb diet after a short time. However, I stumbled on this eating plan and have excited by it and the results. The whole theory of a low carb, higher protein and fats plan just makes so much sense to me.

For the first time EVER I have lost my appetite for sweets and snacking between meals. I have lost 4 kg (9 lbs) in weight, and feel more energetic. The biggy is sleeping better and waking refreshed in the morning rather than the old sluggish feeling and wanting to sleep in.

My excellent recent health results. Cholesterol, BP, blood glucose level and weight have been a direct result of this diet and has turned around my diabetes II diagnosis of a year ago. Yayy!

My excellent recent health results. Cholesterol, BP, blood glucose level and weight have been a direct result of this diet and has turned around my diabetes II diagnosis of a year ago. Yayy!

I’m particularly impressed and grateful for the generosity of the ‘Diet Doctor’ in freely giving such wonderful knowledge and the recipes, which are easy to follow, inexpensive and yummy. (The pricey snacks I used to buy are a thing of the past).

I plan to continue with my new lifestyle and have encouraged others to do the same.

My thanks to all concerned.

Kind regards,

Ann-Marie

Hello Andreas,

Thank you so much for asking me about my low-carb challenge experience and foremost thank you for the dietdoctor.com website. It is a huge help because it makes the change into a new eating habit/diet so much easier.

It was very easy for me to start the diet change as well as sticking to it. I have absolutely no cravings even though I always had a sweet tooth. I lost about 3-5 pounds (1-2 kg) and 1% fat during the challenge. My weight bounced up and down a little which I was a little disappointed of so I thought of getting my hormones checked and metabolism etc. BUT I started donating blood plasma and the first time doing it I was not hydrated well so it took me almost 90 min to be done with it. Since then I drink almost a gallon of water (4 litres) (good one from New Zealand or Europe) and the fat is just melting away. I switched into the dairy free meal plan, plus drinking so much water – I am down 4 pounds (2 kg) and 1.5% fat. I started with 28.6% fat, was 27.6% on the last day of the challenge and now 2 days later, I am down to 26.1%. I underestimated drinking plenty of water! The combination of both works so well also for my skin.

I love the meal plans and shopping lists. Especially that it changes with one click if I need a higher or lesser amount of servings. It would be super perfect, if all amounts were given in oz instead of lbs. 3/8 lbs just looks weird ;) plus my scale doesn’t do lbs but I can use the metric which I found easier…

Thank you again and have a great day.

Kind regards from Florida,

Jennifer

Hi Andreas.

I have just completed the two-week challenge and have stuck to it faithfully, bar two glasses of wine on a shopping trip into Málaga! I have a few observations, but will start with the background that I am not new to LCHF and have been a fan for about four years. I lost about 28 lbs (13 kg) on LCHF but then I kind of lost the plot a bit. No excuses, but I had a lot going on in my world and lazy/bad habits started to creep back in, and with that the weight started to creep back up so I found myself pretty close to my previous weight.

I am not officially overweight by the traditional BMI measure, but I am overweight in terms of the size and fit of my clothes and how I see myself in the mirror and in photos. I feel uncomfortable, like I am wearing an unflattering fat suit that I cannot wait to slip out of. So basically I was ready to climb back onto the LCHF pony and signed up for the challenge. I’m not sure what I expected, but I said to my low-carb friends that central to my following the program was a desire to get back into the groove and shed all those bad habits I had developed over the past couple of years – and that I think is the successful part of the Challenge for me. I have had my three ‘fat’ meals a day, I have not snacked, I have followed the recipe suggestions and discovered a previously hidden love of cabbage! In summary:

I loved the menus and having a rigid plan to work to really helped my focus.

I felt energised in a way I had forgotten about.

My clothes felt more comfortable – I put on a pair of jeans today and thought “uh-oh, if these are my Gap jeans I’m in trouble”, but they weren’t, they were a smaller pair I’d given up on lately.

I lost 3 lbs (1 kg), which in a way I was a little disappointed about until I rationalised it.

The only negatives for me were:

The menu ingredients are very ‘American’. I could not source quite a number of items in Spain and had to improvise.

The ‘one size fits all’ portion sizes must be an obstacle for petite women like me. I know you don’t subscribe to the calorie theory in terms of ‘3,500 excess calories = one pound of fat’, but I think we would both concede that the energy, needs whether the fuel be fat or anything else, of a 5’1″ (155 cm) woman are different to a 6’4″ (193 cm) man plus I have a sedentary job.

Having finished the challenge I feel a little at sea. Oh no! I have to take responsibility for my food choices! However I have subscribed to your site so I will be attempting to construct menus from the recipe suggestions and will try to stick to your template of cooking dinner with an extra portion for lunch the following day as this has really helped me avoid lazy choices eaten at my office desk with little thought. This is just the start of my drive back to health and a weight I am happy with. I know what I have to do, and I know it’s not a quick fix, and I know it’s a lifestyle and not a diet.

I have encouraged a number of friends to either do the challenge or subscribe to your website. These are active low carbers looking for fresh impetus, which let’s face it we all need from time to time.

Keep up the good work.

Very kindest regards,

Susie

The first few days it was hard to adjust after that I enjoyed taking the time to make low-carb foods for myself, even with work and a five-month old I didn’t find the diet too taxing of my time, more a test of my organisation skills. I have so much more energy and feel great. I lost 12 lbs (5 kg) in two weeks!!!

Jodie

Hi Andreas,

I have just finished the 2-week challenge and I am glad to report that I have lost 2.4 kg (5.3 lbs) in such a short time. I am very happy about this result and have now signed up to be a proper member to take advantage of your already prepared meal plans and easy shopping lists.

I love food and have a sedentary but very stressful job, and have consequently put on 23 kg (50.7 lbs) during the last 5 years. A third of my originally weight at my wedding! I have tried so many diets, but they tasted bland or consisted of meal replacements and left me hungry, irritable and unhappy. I couldn’t continue these for long and started to eat the same again as before and consequently put on more weight.

The LCHF diet is the best tasting diet I have ever tried. I go shopping ones on the weekend, cook the main meal in the evening and don’t have to think about lunch in the office the next day, because I eat the leftovers, heated up in the microwave. EASY. The meals are so rich, that I have absolutely no cravings for snacks in the evening, which was always my biggest downfall.

Looking forward to continuing this way of eating, and losing more weight. There are so many more recipes to try out.

Regards,

Birgit

The keto diet curbed my hunger so had less anxiety for food and I lost 8 pounds (4 kg) in total in two weeks…

I loved the challenge. Every recipe kept me motivated and looking forward to the next day. The keto diet curbed my hunger so had less anxiety for food and I lost 8 pounds (4 kg) in total in two weeks… I really enjoyed your videos and education on keto and other interesting subjects like fasting which I already incorporated in my lifestyle. I thank you so much for helping me in very professional way through your website.

Aline

I was amazed how much better I felt after just one week. It was so exciting that I phoned my sister and recommended it for her. The recipes are delicious and satisfying. I have no desire to “cheat” at all.

Susan

I’ve really enjoyed the last two weeks. I haven’t managed to stick to the challenge absolutely strictly but have still lost 12 lbs (5 kg) in 2 weeks. The meals have been truly amazing, I’ve loved the variety of foods and the additional breakfast options. The chia pudding has become a real favourite.

I have also tried the intermittent fasting 16:8 with success. I feel slimmer, fitter and more mentally alert. My blood pressure has gone from high and needing medication to a much more normal reading and the potential to get off the medication I currently take for it.

The diet is simple, effective and most importantly it works!

I am impressed and amazed that all of this information is free on the website. I have found it invaluable from the menus and recipes to the tips for keeping on track to the more in depth nutritional advice. I was attracted to this website because it was free, it doesn’t sell you a whole set of products you “need” to complete the diet. The diet is simple, effective and most importantly it works! Keep up the good work! I am now telling all my friends and family about this wonderful resource.

Finally, at the end of my free trial, I will be staying on as a member.

Kind regards,

Nicole

Hello Dr Andreas,

Thank you for introducing me to the low-carb diet!

My husband asked me if I want to try it with him and showed me your website. We had so much fun cooking together, we lost a couple of kilograms, and we have more energy (and believe me, we need a lot of energy to keep up with our 10 month son). It wasn’t at all difficult and we barely felt the side effects.

We feel it’s just a beginning of a fantastic adventure. Our goal is to change our lifestyle, not just lose weight. I have so many ideas for low-carb dishes that I don’t know which one to choose for today!

Thank you for inspiring us and so many other people,

Dorothy

I LOVED this challenge! I did not really do it for weight loss but I am always striving for good health. I started HFLC 5 months ago by myself and lost 9 kg (20 lbs) but I did this challenge because I was not sure if my portions

were right or balanced. Now with your lovely recipes I know I am doing fine and I will continue this way of eating. After menopause I just felt I could do better and cutting sugar and adding fat did wonders. I run 10 km (6 miles) 5x a week,

I do not need any chronic medication and my blood pressure is that of a teenager (according to my doctor!). Pity my Italian husband is continuing to kill himself with the way he eats and drinks but I cannot convince him to change.

I am 61 this year and I thank you for your guidance. It made my life so much easier.

Regards,

Christine

What I did: gradually reduced carbs over the 1st week. Managed to get under 100 g of carbs most days of the 2nd week. I watched many Diet Doctor videos, including the series on fasting. On the weekend just past, I tried fasting. I started after a low-carb dinner at 6:30 pm Friday night and decided I would not eat until I felt actual hunger. I started to feel hunger pains on Saturday around 1:30 pm, and then took about a half-hour to prepare my meal, resulting in about 19 hours fast.

Results: I didn’t own a scale when I started. My primary guideline of whether I am getting results will be the way my clothes fit. But I did purchase a scale on Jan 19 – from Jan 19 to today I have lost 5 lbs (2 kg).

This is the first “diet” I have ever been on where I was not counting and negotiating all day about calories or points or cups of food – what a relief!

How I feel: it is such a relief not to be chasing the sugar cravings. For the past few months at work, I have been at the snack bar almost every day for at least one item, plus an evening snack most days (chips or something sweet). During the past 2 weeks I have stopped craving food. This is the first “diet” I have ever been on where I was not counting and negotiating all day about calories or points or cups of food – what a relief!

Going forward: I will aim to take my carbs under 50/day during this week. I look forward to remaining on the program and seeing how far I can take it.

Thanks!

Marilyn

I loved it. I am continuing on with it, and have subscribed to the email service as well. I am on the ketogenic diet for medical reasons, so looking forward to lots of new keto recipes!

Thank you so much for setting up and maintaining this website. It has truly been a lifesaver for me.

Dear Andreas,

I heard about this way of life from my Danish nephew who lives in Sweden with his family. I was in awe of how good they all felt and how great they looked. My husband and I took up this recent LCHF challenge and found it to be hugely successful! I had a headache for the first few days as I was getting off of Christmas sugar and nightly wine.

I have lost 6 1/2 pounds (3 kg) and my husband 7 lbs (3 kg) in these past few weeks and we are so encouraged. We are going to continue with it!

I have lost 6 1/2 pounds (3 kg) and my husband 7 lbs (3 kg) in these past few weeks and we are so encouraged. We are going to continue with it! The recipes are yummy and we are so happy and full that there is no need to snack. I very seldom eat breakfast because I am not hungry until noon. We are filled with gratitude for you and your team for make this life changing diet available to so many through the internet. The ignorance toward food is beyond amazing here in the states! I have 15 more pounds (7 kg) to go and I am going forward with this for the rest of my life. My husband has type 2 diabetes and had a blood sugar of 88 mg/dl (4.9 mmol/L) one morning! That is the lowest in a long time!

With gratitude,

Carole

So far so good! Tomorrow will be week three for me. I started early and I am so happy I did. I do not have a scale but my clothes sure tell me that I am losing weight! I measured this morning and have lost one inch (2 cm) around my waist. I am so happy and will be staying on a low-carb diet for a long time!

Thank you for your support!

Hillary

Hi Dr Andreas,

I found the 2-week challenge helpful. I tweaked some of the recipes to my taste/budget but the best part was having a daily recipe in front of me so I didn’t have to agonise over what to cook.

I’ve been trying to eat LCHF for the last 2 months. Here’s a few of the benefits I have experienced:

Enjoyment of food.

Eating much less over all.

The feeling of constant hunger/craving I’ve had my whole life has disappeared.

I have lost 6 kg (13 lbs) without doing any extra exercise.

I have suffered debilitating anxiety and jitteriness in my body for 20 years but in the last 2 months the jitteriness/tingling in my limbs has disappeared. I am also experiencing a vast improvement in my ability to think clearly without anxiety.

As with most diets promising to change your life, I was sceptical when my GP suggested I give LCHF a try. However I have been surprised/so far proved wrong.

As with most diets promising to change your life, I was sceptical when my GP suggested I give LCHF a try. However I have been surprised/so far proved wrong.

Thank you for:

Your clear explanations.

Providing a service free of charge with no contracts.

Offering a way of eating that doesn’t count calories.

Wanting to help struggling people without ripping them off.

Unlocking a secret the food industry don’t want people to know.

Thank you for helping me.

Kind regards,

Sally

Dear Andreas,

I think your website is great. I have found nearly all information I was looking for.

I have lost 5.5 kg (12 lbs) in 20 days, my blood pressure now is normal 120/80 so I quit some 5 mg of amlodipine to keep it there. My insulin levels move around 95-115 mg/dl.

Even when I did not prepare your recipes I found very useful to visually get the idea of how much to eat.

Even when I did not prepare your recipes I found very useful to visually get the idea of how much to eat.

I discovered your page through Jason Fung on YouTube.

I expect to reverse my diabetes or insulin resistance soon owing your LCHF and 18/6 intermittent fasting (very easy to do), and some aerobic spinning.

Now I am feeling great.

In the next couple of month I will check all my levels including cholesterol (at present I am getting Crestor 10 mg 4 days a week, and I will change it to 3 days).

Many thanks.

Best regards,

Alfredo

Hello,

My husband and I have completed the 2-week challenge. We lost just short of 8 lbs (4 kg) each :) We are 64 and 68 years of age. Both retired.

The shopping lists were extremely convenient. The recipes were delicious and very easy to prepare. I think I actually spent less time preparing and cooking meals with the low-carb plans. I measured and weighed all items.

We were never hungry and many times skipped breakfast but had our lunch around 11 AM which then did us fine until supper approx. 6 PM.

As we progressed through the 2 weeks, I did substitute my own menu once or twice. eg. BBQ steak and caesar salad or leafy greens with balsamic vinaigrette. Salad dressings were both home made.

My husband gave up his beer. The first weekend we did indulge in a few rye/brandy with ice (no mix). We enjoyed a few glasses of wine on the 2nd weekend but were careful to track the carbs.

I walk approx. 8 km (5 miles) every day at a pace of 5 km (3 miles) per hour.

We are both very happy with the meal plans and the results of these first two weeks. We are continuing with the diet plans as members.

Thank you. Great job all round!

Dorothy

I loved this challenge. This will become a way of life for me. I have lost 6 pounds (3 kg) over the last two weeks, I’ve still managed to have a social life without the need to lock myself away to starve on chicken breast and lettuce.

Other benefits I didn’t expect – healthy skin, and my hair seems to be the healthiest it’s been in years – there is really something to these healthy fats I have deprived my body of for so long.

Other benefits I didn’t expect – healthy skin, and my hair seems to be the healthiest it’s been in years – there is really something to these healthy fats I have deprived my body of for so long. Every recipe I made tasted great. I was not able to cook every recipe through the week, as I just had too much food, given the serving sizes, so I still have plenty of things to try. I am so happy a friend told me about this eating approach, it really is amazing and so easy.

I look forward to losing my last 10 pounds (5 kg) and continuing this healthy life!

Thank you for all you are doing at Diet Doctor.

Aurora

Hello, Andreas!

I wanted to thank you for the 2-week challenge and for your wonderful site in general. It is refreshing to find a site with such honest and abundant information, all without gimmicks, high prices, and “secrets” to be purchased. I found the challenge to be very helpful and the recipes delicious. I admit I had to deviate a bit (scrambled eggs day after day become hard to swallow… literally!) :) but I was pleased to lose 9 pounds (4 kg) in the process, to experience a calmness in my body that I haven’t had in a long time, and to enjoy an overall greater sense of wellbeing.

I plan to continue and hopefully can send you a full success story one day, with photos included! I am an American, and this way of eating is so completely contrary to our culture; I hope this movement will catch on over here.

Best regards and thank you again for your helpful site!

Hello Andreas,

How could this work? To simply eat the foods we love until full and lose weight without time spent working out and weighing small amounts of what I thought and what I was told by the “experts” was “good food”.

What do I think you ask? I am still in total disbelief how easy this has been for my husband and myself. I mean, how could this work? To simply eat the foods we love until full and lose weight without time spent working out and weighing small amounts of what I thought and what I was told by the “experts” was “good food”.

I was on Instagram and stumbled onto a page that had LCHF in it and thought, what does that mean? So, I googled it and instantly found to The Diet Doctor page. I watched the videos and checked out the foods I can still eat and I thought, I can do this and signed up for the 2-week challenge.

I know its still early and this is when all dieters are upbeat and excited but I keep telling myself, this is not a diet, it is my “new way of life” and will not fail cause it does not set us up to fail, it has given me a new way to live and think about food and how it effects my mind, moods stomach, relationships and outlook to the future. I keep telling myself, this can’t work but it is working, but how? But it can, cause its too simple… Ah, what?

Your recipes are simple and easy to follow and takes the guess work out of cooking and eating. The videos are easy to understand and I do believe you are a good choice for the face of Diet Doctor. Speaking from a woman’s point of view, you are a

believable person and as soon as I listened to you I said, I can trust this guy with this crazy information he is giving to me and I can stick with this guy because of all of the science and proof backing what he says.

So, what so I think you ask? I can’t wait to see what is around the corner for me and excited for the future me!!!!

Thank you,

Sandy

Hi,

Yes I want to tell you my thoughts on these two weeks. As with everyone else I have tried all diets and pretty much gave up. My friend told me about this as she has done and this is her lifestyle. I said sure I can do two weeks.

In this two weeks, I have lost 5 pounds (2 kg) and almost 3 inches (8 cm) from my waist.

In this two weeks, I have lost 5 pounds (2 kg) and almost 3 inches (8 cm) from my waist. But almost more important, is how I feel. My blood super is stable as I can feel it. I am not starved at all ever! I feel really good and excited to know I can do this and how comfortable it was. I enjoyed my two weeks. I got organized!

I planned and shopped and knew what I was going to cook. I think that was big for me to just be super organized.

Anyway I am planning my next two weeks as by then I will have lost 10 lbs (5 kg). I love this way of eating and am very grateful I found about it.

Thank you so much,

Janaea

Hello!

I am 53 years old and I am 30 lbs (14 kg) overweight. My son is getting married in October and I want to look my best for that wonderful event! I have done many many many many diets in my life and they ALL have been such hard work with very slow and disappointing results. My body did not appreciate the lack of food that these diets called for, and therefore, it did not let go of the weight.

I had tried another popular low-carb diet but it was just to complicated and difficult for me to figure out exactly what to eat.

I came across your web site and found it to be so simply explained but yet filled with such wonderful information! I just finished the 2-week challenge and I lost 3 lbs (1 kg)!!! This is the first time on a diet where I have not felt hungry or where I stare at the clock waiting for lunch or dinner to come. It has been very easy and my family and I enjoy the meals… together! No separate food for me. The main struggle I have is in my mind, processing the wrong information and advice for so many years. I found myself at times, taking bites with a little fear in the back of my mind saying…. “this isn’t healthy”, “your cholesterol is going to sky rocket”, “your arteries are going to get clogged”, “you will never lose weight without depriving yourself”. I DID lose weight and I did it without being hungry!

I am continuing on with your program and I am looking forward to more great results.

Thank you for sharing this with me! I am continuing on with your program and I am looking forward to more great results.

Thank you DietDoctor, this two-week challenge was absolutely great for me. My blood sugar is in the normal range, and I almost went back to drinking Diet Soda on Sunday, my 14th day, the devil was really on me, my temptation is Diet Zero Coke, but I stood on what you were teaching me and God. I would like to eat cottage and blackberries, raspberries or strawberries for breakfast, but I would like to know if I can eat that and still be low carb.

I have had eggs for the past 14 days and now I don’t want eggs for a while. I didn’t weigh in when I started, but I took my hips and waist measurements, and I took my measurements last night and I have lost and 1” (3 cm) off my hips and ½” (1 cm) off my waist. Praise God. I thank you so much for giving lectures on diabetes because I didn’t like taking pills. I will keep eating low carb, thank you very much. Keep helping us. American doctors will not give advise on regulating our blood sugars by changing your eating habits, they just want to give us medicine. Keep on giving those lecture/workshops to help.

Thank you very much,

Evelyn

Since starting the challenge I have lost about 3.5 lbs (2 kg), which I think is pretty good for an arthritic 75-year old woman who has been unable to lose weight for a long time. The most marvelous thing has been the change in my fasting glucose reading and at other times too. For the last 10 days it has been below 100 mg/dl (5.6 mmol/L) when I arise rather than up around 120 mg/dl (6.7 mmol/L). I love your program except for eating scrambled eggs most mornings, LOL! I do jazz them up though, to keep from gagging.

I am a type 2 diabetic, diagnosed in 1991. I have been exceedingly lucky in that I only take metformin. I realized 20 years ago that conventional wisdom was wrong and that I needed fewer carbs but never quite got the right mix to be able to improve it more. Followed the advice of Dr. Atkins and Dr. Eades for years but my weight stayed the same.

Then I discovered you, Dr. Eenfeldt! Bought your book then subscribed to your newsletter. Every day I discover more good information on your website, such wonderful advice! I only need to lose about 15 more pounds (7 kg). Thank you so much for your advice, recipes, etc.

Dear Andreas,

In just a few words, it was great! I took on the Diet Doctor challenge after about a month of LCHF on my own. Personally, the set menus were an enlightenment after flailing about trying to figure out what to eat and when, on my own.

During the two weeks, I discovered how important structure is in these things and with organisation and determination, I could sail through the days and finally, not be thinking about food all the time. Isn’t that grand, especially when I seem to be eating masses of food! To sum it all up, the greatest take away is control. To have taken charge in this way was profound for me. I hope it is for others too.

Accountability is important too – and surprisingly, the daily emails and encouragement were extremely helpful to me.

I will be checking in on the upgraded part of the website to see if this is the next step for me.

Tack så mycket Andreas and all the DD staff for making this available to the public at large. It is selfless on your part to give us access to the information free of charge. I understand why you are doing it and hope others do too.

Here’s to the most optimum health we can achieve,

Sincerely,

Eileen

Dr. Eenfeldt,

We have been cutting carbs for most of this past year and started your diet specifically (well maybe not 100% specifically :) and we each lost 2 to 3 lbs (1 kg). This coming week we are going hard core before a week in Mexico and planning to continue when we return to try and reach our goals by the summer, in my case under 200 lbs. (i started at 242 lbs (91 kg) in January 2015 I’m currently 220 lbs (100 kg) I’ve dropped one pant size 38 to 36.)

We like your system of easy menus and the supporting videos and the fact there is no advertising or flogging of products. These are the reasons we chose your system over another similar popular program. Thanks for all of this, my Dr. is doing a keytone diet system and recommended we start one as well. He has been impressed with our progress so far.

Feeling good,

Hi Andreas,

I have really enjoyed it.

The first few days wasn’t good – very low energy, headached, dreaming about boutique bakeries selling sourdough! Now I have discovered that I don’t always have to be hungry – this has taken 41 years!

I have not wanted to eat until noon the last few days. I can go running for 4 miles (6 km) without carb loading. I have lost an inch (2 cm) off my waist and 2.5 kg (6 lbs).

My husband has loved the recipes because they are so rich and tasty. I am recommending your site to my patients with type 2 diabetes.

I am going to continue the ketogenic diet at least until I have lost 15 kg (33 lbs), then see how I feel about all those sugary foods I used to love.

It has been a surprising experience – thank you.

Zoe

Hi Diet Doctor

Finding LCHF has been a life changer for me.

Finding LCHF has been a life changer for me.

My weight loss has been slight over the last few weeks carb challenge, however I don’t have that much to lose. But, I am losing inches, my clothes are looser and my entire IBS misery has disappeared. My digestive system has not felt this calm in a very VERY long time. I struggle with the amount of cream in some dishes, as I was very much a 0% added fat eater, and it would be good to see alternatives in your recipes, i.e. Greek yogurt. I was a no sugar, but lots of white rice and starch eater. I don’t miss any of it.

Your videos are very interesting and you have done a superb job in building a very informative website. I have learned so much through Diet Doctor.

Thank you for being ad-free, and your extremely low members fee ment I didn’t stress about joining. All the recipes and added extras are worth it.

Finally, I have not told people about LCHF. I know it would cause much debate, but I am ready to suggest it to anyone who mentions they are struggling with their current eating habits. That is the exact way I found out about it.

Kind regards,

Vanessa

I have never felt better.

I recently accomplished the two-week challenge. I started making the switch to LCHF about one week before this challenge and I weighed 228 lbs (103 kg). After finishing the challenge I weigh 220 lbs (100 kg). I have never felt better. The first few days sucked. Trying to resist the sugar cravings. Apparently I was a little irritable (according to my wife) lol. But now, I have my wife on board and the guys at work. The meals are fantastic and easy to prepare. I signed up yesterday to become a full member to the site. I appreciate all the info that is now at my finger tips. Thank you Diet Doctor for opening my eyes to a healthier way of life.

Sean

Dear Andreas,

Thank you for all the work you are doing. I am so grateful that a handful of you have the boldness, kindness and integrity to spread the truth about nutrition and health to the world against all the odds. There really are no words that can convey my feelings except to say that even though I have never met any of you I love you all with all my heart.

I was diagnosed with diabetes 2 years ago, my HBA1C was 80, and I began to lose weight following LCHF. Three months later I lost 14 lbs (6 kg) and my HBA1C came down to 45, but then I found that if I allowed myself a little bit of carb it was then difficult to stop, so I have been drifting since then. Doing the two-week challenge has brought me back into line, brought my blood sugar down and in two weeks I lost 5 and a half pounds (2 kg) and 2 inches (5 cm)of my waist. I am going to stick to your meal plans.

Thank you,

God bless you.

June
