Paneer 65 Recipe is coated deep fried paneer (cottage cheese). It is called paneer 65 recipe as it is listed on most restaurant at no. 65.

Cooking Time: Appr. 2 Mins Per Batch

Serves: 3-4 People



Ingredients:

300 gms paneer (cotage cheese)

1½ tablespoon cornflour

2 tablespoon plain flour

1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste

2 teaspoon red chili powder

1 teaspoon vinegar or lemon juice

½ teaspoon cumin powder

½ teaspoon peppercorn powder

1 teaspoon chaat masala or amchur powder (raw dried mango powder)

1 spring curry leaves

A pinch of baking soda

Oil for deep frying

Salt to taste



Cooking Method:

1. Cut the paneer (cottage cheese) into cubes or small rectangles and set aside.

2. Soak the paneer pieces in warm water 10 mins. Drain them after soaking.

3. In a bowl, add plain flour, corn flour, red chilli powder, peppercorn powder, cumin powder, chaat masala or amchur powder, ginger garlic paste, salt, vinegar or lemon juice and baking soda. Mix well. Add a little water and make a thick batter.

4. Add the paneer pieces into the batter and mix gently and make sure the batter coats the pieces properly.

5. Now heat the oil in a pan. Deep fry the paneer until they are golden brown and crispy on medium heat batch by batch. Keep the fried paneer 65 in kitchen paper to get rid off excess oil.

6. Turn the heat off and add the curry leaves from the curry spring. Take the leaves out from the oil immediately and mix with paneer 65.

Serve paneer 65 recipe hot with your choice of dip or as it is as a starter.
