Can you believe that Thanksgiving is this coming Thursday? It honestly feels to me like Halloween was just last week. Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays, after Christmas: I love the food, the time with family, and Ryan’s and my annual tradition of watching the original Star Wars trilogy (which is timely this year for the release of The Force Awakens!). It’s also hilarious when Charlie eats too much turkey and passes out on the sofa.
Have I ever told you about the year I celebrated Thanksgiving in Prague? We ended up eating burgers at a Hooter’s, of all places because some people in my study abroad group wanted to watch football. The next year Thanksgiving dinner tasted better than ever and I’ve loved the holiday even more since then.
To spread the Thanksgiving love, instead of offering you a new recipe today, I decided to help you plan your Thanksgiving menu if you haven’t already and round up some Thanksgiving recipes from my blog and other blogs. One thing I love about Thanksgiving foods are the wide variety of options for even the simplest dishes such as mashed potatoes or stuffing: it’s a time when you can showcase your creativity as a cook!
