I honestly can’t believe we are almost to October, you guys! Staying true to midwestern weather, we’re alternating between days that are sweltering like the surface of the sun or a sudden snap cold chill (that’s actually only like 72 degrees). This crazy weather won’t stop me from dreaming of wool scarves & falling leaves, though! And it seems like the perfect time to start thinking about ways to update your routine for fall. I’m excited to share some safer, cleaner ingredient beauty trends for fall that I’m loving right now!

Cleaner Ingredient Beauty Trends for Fall

Sugar Body Scrub in Lemongrass

If you’re like me, you may have pulled out those skinny jeans but you’re still holding on tight to those Birkenstocks. I’ll basically wear those babies until my frozen, lifeless toes tell me otherwise. Birkenstocks may not be your thing, but I’m willing to bet you’re still occasionally wearing a sandal or flip flop, right?? Let’s face it, it’s been a long summer of chlorine pools, bare feet & kicking around in sandals. My feet are in serious need of some pampering. If that sounds like you too, you need to get yourself into some of Beautycounter’s Sugar Body Scrub in Lemongrass! A best seller for a reason! Not only does this soothing sugar scrub smell heavenly, it uses mineral rich evening primrose, sweet almond, apricot kernel & organic sunflower seed oils. It’s easy to forget to pamper our skin in the fall & winter simply because we spend so much more time covered up. Don’t neglect your skin! File this goodie under #treatyoself

Enrich Body Butter

Beautycounter’s Enrich Body Butter is just about the best thing ever for that dry fall & early winter skin. Let this soothe your dry hands, elbows & feet with something that absorbs easily but won’t leave you feeling greasy! My friend likes to apply it just before bed so she can wake up to smooth, silky skin! Use this body butter as a follow up after all that gentle exfoliation you just did.

Cleansing Balm

The BOMB – Beautycounter’s Cleansing Balm. Don’t let the name fool you. This balm will cleanse & so much more. Another best seller for a reason. Celebs love it, regular gals like you & me can’t live without it! One balm to rule them all would be a perfectly appropriately statement to make right now. Use the Cleansing Balm to remove heavy eye makeup (it comes off in a snap!). Use it as a hydrating face cleanser. Apply at night as an overnight moisturizing mask. It’s great for dark spots, scars, cuticles, rough skin & it uses vitamin C to brighten the appearance of skin. I talk about this Cleansing Balm all the balm time & once people finally get into it, they realize why! It’s the unicorn beauty product you’ve been looking for, trust me.

Color Pinch Cream Blusher

I’m such a big fan of Beautycounter’s Color Pinch Cream Blusher in Hibiscus but I was really interested in the Caramel color for fall. It’s a subtle, subdued touch of color that looks so darn natural, I seriously think it might replace my beloved, rosy Hibiscus! To apply the cream blusher, I simply make a big smile & put a couple of dots on the apple of my cheeks. Then, I blend with my two middle fingers up towards my hair line. I think cream blush is so forgiving & must easier to manipulate than a powder so if you’ve ever been curious about it, I say it’s the perfect time to give it a go!

Lip Sheer in Currant

Were you a fan of the raisin colored, pharmacy lipsticks when you were in high school? Oh boy, I was! I’ll never forget my beloved Rum Raisin! It was the first real lipstick I ever wore & I can actually still smell the weird, waxy chemical smell from that tube. Luckily, Beautycounter’s Currant Lip Sheer is not your high school lipstick. Beautycounter uses better ingredients with their stringent Ingredient Selection Process, hand picking the best & leaving out the rest – like their “Never List” that they use to formulate their products. There’s no synthetic fragrance in here, just a hint of vanilla! You can totally wear this Lip Sheer alone – pigmented color that also doubles as a lip balm (its so moisturizing!!) or under a swipe of gloss for a deeper color.

Lip Gloss in Fig

It feels weird to say I’m in love after just one meeting but here goes! I’m in love, I’m in love & I don’t care who knows it! (Please tell me you got that Elf reference). Beautycounter’s newest lip gloss in Fig is the perfect, rich color for fall. This lip gloss goes on smooth without the stickiness. It’s full of shine & can be worn alone or with the Currant Lip Sheer! If you’re looking for a fun, bold lip color for fall but you’re feeling a little nervous to go for red, the Lip Gloss in Fig will be the perfect complement to your fall beauty routine!
