The IABC World Conference is headed to the nation’s capital and registration rates are about to go up on March 1.

More than 1,000 business communication professionals from around the world will gather at the Washington Hilton June 11 through 14 to address major communication issues, explore innovative ideas and discover new solutions to the biggest communication challenges.

IABC’s annual event shifts locations each year and will bring a truly international audience to Washington with it. Thirty-six countries were represented at the 2016 IABC World Conference in New Orleans.

The conference program will also address key global events that impact the communication profession. One of the general sessions includes an all-participant World Café event that will provide the environment to engage in critical discussions and tap into our collective intelligence.

Before, during and after the conference, IABC will explore questions around truth and transparency, the normalizing of “alternative facts,” the questioning of the media’s role and freedom of the press in society, as well as the proliferation of “fake news.” IABC will also look at how organizations are handling brand issues related to social media assaults and what drives an organization to make statements against actions and policies that collide with their brand values.

This year’s keynote speakers include top business influencer Mark Jeffries, authentic leadership expert Gabrielle Dolan, leading creativity evangelist Denise Jacobs and Jon Iwata, architect of IBM’s strategic brand platforms.

A full list of conference sessions and events can be found on the IABC World Conference website, along with registration information.

Early-bird registration rates for the conference end at 11:59 p.m. PST on Wednesday, March 1. Become an IABC member when you sign up for the conference and receive an additional discount.
