Baltimore-based digital agency Mindgrub has been hired by Exelon Corporation to create mobile applications to serve Exelon’s utilities companies. According to a press release, Mindgrub will use an “agile method” approach to create native iOS and Android applications to “provide a wealth of tools” for Exelon’s customers. “Mindgrub is committed to doing business with industry leaders in our region while at the same time, constantly discovering new technologies to leverage innovation in the digital arena,” said CEO Todd Marks.

Mindgrub also announced a collaboration with 14-year-old chef Bryce Taylor, runner up on The Food Network’s Chopped Junior show, on the development of menu items they will feature later this year at Mindgrub Café, the agency’s food truck.

Emilee Beeson has been promoted to art director at idfive. Since joining the firm in 2013, Beeson has worked on a range of web design, print design and marketing campaign projects. According to a press release, notable efforts include the WRA 100 Years website, University of Baltimore Gamescape concept, and the Baltimore Addy’s 2015 theme and collateral.

Ainsley & Co., a full-service digital marketing agency in Harbor East, announced that Marissa Fegeley has been hired as director of business development. Fegeley joined Ainsley from SmartCEO, where she worked in business development and as a program coordinator for a variety of SmartCEO events. The six-year-old agency moved into 4,600-square foot office space in Harbor East’s Bagby Building in 2016 and now has 20 employees, after adding eight last year. “Our team’s continued focus on digital marketing campaigns and our expanded video production work have really driven our growth in the past year, and we’re excited for what’s to come in 2017,” said Tom Ainsley, CEO and Creative Director.
