Hey guys,
I've been struggling with hip flexor pain on my left leg for quite some time now. I had to completely stop squatting for 2-3 months and I've slowly been building back up. It seemed pretty good for a while but recently has started to flare back up. I generally feel it with just squats...the heavier the more pain I feel.
My question is: is this a common issue and if it is, is there a common reason or fix for it? I've been told 100 various things to try and fix. Some things ease the pain to a certain point but nothing really fixed the issue.
Any thought? I understand it'll be hard not seeing me do a squat but I can say that I know I bend forward more than I should as I get below parallel (which contributed to some lower back pain before the hip flexor issue). I am sure to keep my knees out on the way up and I certainly try to keep myself from "folding" on the way down but nothing has been successful in keeping that from happening.
Any thoughts at all or any experience with this yourself or with clients??
Thanks! :)
