New Mobile and Web Offering Emphasizes Recipes for Latin Food, Restaurants, and Recommendations From Hispanic Consumers Living in the US

HERNDON, VA – YaSabe, the leading local and mobile search destination catering to U.S. Hispanics, launched Sabores, the world’s first image-based search discovery tool for Latin cuisine. Sabores (which means “flavors”) is an all-new, mobile-optimized website that highlights the best Latin culinary experiences in the U.S. Access the new Latin food experience at http://sabores.yasabe.com.

Sporting a Pinterest-like interface, Sabores offers consumers recipe ideas, local restaurant information, video clips, and daily doses of Latin culinary culture through a rich selection of original and curated multimedia content in both English and Spanish.

“Image-based search and discovery will be a big part of the future, particularly for mobile platforms,” said YaSabe CEO Zubair Talib. “With Sabores, YaSabe brings a powerful new user experience to the world of Latin cuisine.”

Sabores is optimized for consumers accessing the site from mobile devices, who represent more than half of YaSabe’s visitors. Mobile is critical for reaching the Hispanic audience online; 68% of Hispanic adults in the U.S. own smartphones, compared with 59% of the general market, while fully 30% of U.S. Hispanics use their mobile phones as their primary access to the Internet. Sabores is designed to provide a beautiful user experience on screens of all types and sizes.

Sabores features:

News – the latest information about popular Latin chefs, new restaurant openings, cookbooks on Latin cuisine, awards, etc.

Recipes – a wide selection of dishes with Latin influences, searchable by country, ingredients, and other attributes.

Articles – short- and long-form features on cooking tips, healthy eating, and did-you-know facts.

Videos – bilingual cooking shows and informational videos on Latin food.

Lists – interactive “Top 10″ rankings of the best restaurants, food trucks, Latin drinks, and more from YaSabe cuisine experts as well as real Sabores users.

Sabores seamlessly interfaces with the most popular existing capabilities of YaSabe, and will integrate with the entire site content as well as new products and services over the next year. YaSabe’s Latin food and dining guide is the first of several product and experience innovations currently under development to enhance YaSabe’s effectiveness at building digital communities and improving quality of life for U.S. Latinos.

The site can be found at http://Sabores.YaSabe.com.
