The Drum's Recruitment Business Awards took place at the Mercure Hotel in Manchester last night (22 September), celebrating the best work in the space from Land's End consultancies to John O' Groats agencies.

Now in its 14th year, the scheme seeks to celebrate the crowning glory of the recruitment industry with a focus on agencies outwith London.

Taking home the top prizes this year were Tonic – which won the Grand Prix for its recruitment drive for the Army and London, and Bristol creative shop ThirtyThree which took home the Chairman's Award for the recruitment platform it built for The National Trust.

Tonic picked up six awards overall including Recruitment Advertising Agency of the Year, and Best Campaign, while ThirtyThree claimed five in total.

Laying claim to the Business Grand Prix was Chatter Communications for its 'Store of the Future' initiative for O2, while Manchester firm Amoria Bond claimed Recruitment Agency of the Year in the Business category.

Other winners on the night included: Pink Squid, which claimed the Best Use of Social Media gong for its 'Race To Win' work for Jaguar Land Rover, as well as Henderson Scott, Sky Betting and Gaming, and Jupiter Advertising. A full list of the winners for 2016 can be found here.

Guests at the black-tie event were entertained by by the muscial stylings of Mr Wilson’s second liners, a group inspired by New Orlean's brass bands. The event was sponsored by CVLibrary, TotalJobs, Jupiter, Ri5 and TINT.
