Soldiers for Adaptive SCUBA is a non-profit organization founded in 2014 that is dedicated to providing SCUBA training to the injured military veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Soldiers for Adaptive SCUBA offers SCUBA training to military that are under physical and/or occupational therapy through the Biloxi VA Health System located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Soldiers for Adaptive SCUBA is operated by hardworking volunteers who are dedicated in helping enhance the lives of our injured warriors. Soldiers for Adaptive SCUBA uses the training standards from NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors) to provide either full scuba certification or diving credentials to the warriors. SCUBA diving is a physical activity that is both challenging and rewarding and is believed to help in the facilitating of the healing process both mentally and physically.
