Michael Douglas has confirmed he will return to the role of Dr. Hank Pym in Ant-Man and the Wasp, the sequel to the 2015 film that will have Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly play the titular superhero duo for Marvel.
With Diego Luna attached to star in what we like to call Scarface 3.0, a new director is being sought out after the departure of Antoine Fuqua. Two names are currently being rumored to take over: David McKenzie (Hell or High Water) and Peter Berg (Patriots Day) are reportedly the top contenders to take over directing the film, which will have Luna as a Mexican immigrant embroiled in L.A.’s drug trade.
The remake of It is gearing towards an R-rating. While fans were worried that it could be a hard PG-13, producer Dan Lin went on record as saying that in order for the source material to work, it has to be rated R. A sequel, which will focus on the now adult Loser’s Club attempting to once again stop the demonic Pennywise (Bill Skarsgard), is still being worked out.
Danny McBride, who was announced last week to be co-writing and co-directing the new installment of the Halloween franchise, has dropped a major bombshell. He went on to say the film will take place after the first two films directed by John Carpenter. As many will know, Halloween III: Season of the Witch, was the only installment not to feature series killer Michael Myers. With Carpenter set as consultant, this is gearing up to be a worthy installment.
With Ben Affleck opting to sticking with co-writing, producing, and playing the titular character in The Batman, it is looking like Cloverfield helmer Matt Reeves has begun talks to take over as director of the film, which will pit the middle-aged Bruce Wayne’s alter ego against the deadly assassin Deathstroke, played by Joe Mangianello.
Remember the days of Asian action films you would see this legendary logo pop up? Golden Harvest, which ran from 1971 to 2003 in terms of filmmaking, making films that notably starred Bruce Lee, Angela Mao, and Jackie Chan to name a few, has announced a plan to return to filmmaking. This comes after Wu Kebo sold the parent company Orange Sky Golden Harvest to Nan Hai, the parent company of Dadi, for $463 million dollars.
