A leading chip brand company has launched a new bag design that can help you determine if you are within the legal limit for driving under the influence. According to a NBC news report, the innovative “party safe” bag design for the Tostitos brand of chips includes technology that gives it the functionality of an alcohol content monitoring device. Frito-Lay stated that a symbol on the Tostitos bag is activated by an included alcohol sensor. The green colored symbol turns red when the sensor detects alcohol.
A spokesperson for the Tostitos brand has said that the limited edition bag is designed to help consumers avoid car accidents and to remind them not to drink and drive. Also, in a joint promotion with Mothers Against Drunk Driving all Tostitos chip bags will have a UPC code for $10 off an Uber ride to be used for a limited time this Sunday.

The annual event that is the Super Bowl has established a routine of traditions for fans and casual viewers alike. Many of these parties contribute to making this game day one of the top three drinking days in the nation along with New Year’s Eve and St. Patrick’s Day. In 2014, the average blood alcohol concentration (BAC) as measured by users on Super Bowl Sunday was .091 percent, based on BACtrack’s breathalyzer smartphone app.
