Todays challenge via NaPoWriMo Website is to write a tritina poem!
The tritina is a shorter cousin to the sestina, involving three, three-line stanzas, and a final concluding line. Three “end words” are used to conclude the lines of each stanza, in a set pattern of ABC, CAB, BCA, and all three end words appear together in the final line.
This is my attempt at a Tritina Poem – Happy reading!
“Dearest Ocean”
When I need a release, you make me feel free
As soon as I walk along your sand, I just be
Breathing in and out, a calm comes over me
As I listen to your majestic rythym, silently within me
It washes away any troubles, til I’m free
And makes me feel ready again, to be
I can’t explain the magic that happens, just to be
But it’s more powerful than anything-else, for me
A gift I accept without too much wonder, to feel free
But I thank-you “Dearest Ocean” for how you make me feel – renewed, & Free to Be Me.
