The Girl Squad proudly presents an Evening with Ange Anderson.

Join us and Ange for an evening filled with inspirational women, a few bubbles and delicious canapés.

Ange Anderson is the bubbly, energetic and alluring (sometimes cheeky) female voice and newsreader on Nova 106.9’s Brisbane breakfast show “Ash, Kip and Luttsy”.
It’s a wild daily ride not just reporting the news in her unique style but also joking around with Ash Bradnam, Kip Wightman and David Lutteral. Ange brings credibility to the show through her extensive knowledge in the interests of an under 35 year old demographic.
Ange is also a third of “Browny, Ange and Gawndy” which can be heard Saturday mornings and breakfast during survey breaks. The trio which includes AFL legend Jonathan Brown and Daniel Gawned got together to fill in for Summer Breakfast in 2014/2015 and proved to be so popular with listeners they’re now on air weekly.
2014 was a big year for Ange, who was the only female nominated in the Best News Presenter (FM) category at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards.
She has spent close to a decade working in newsrooms across Australia, after completing a Bachelor of Communications at Griffith University. Her passion for the media started at home on the Gold Coast at the age of 21, when an internship led to a full time gig at 102.9 Hot Tomato. Ange then decided to explore the bright lights of Sydney where she was a network newsreader and reporter at 2UE. During her time in this role, she gained experience in all journalistic rounds including police, courts, politics, health and sport. Ange would not just do live crosses for Fairfax Radio but also occasionally for BBC Radio and Sky News. Her highlight as a reporter was covering Kevin Rudd's historic win at the 2007 Election.
In 2010, Ange joined Nova Sydney which gave her the opportunity to explore her love for entertainment news. She's interviewed stars like Oprah, the Dalai Lama, David Beckham, Cate Blanchett, Paris Hilton and Pamela Anderson. In 2011, she was up for a new challenge so moved to Nova Brisbane.
Personable and credible, Ange is a capable MC and recently hosted Brisbane Racing Club’s Girls Day Out, the Queensland Firebirds’ season launch and the Queen Street Myer Christmas window unveiling. She’s also been the ambassador for Fully Fit February.
She is a respected guest lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology, University of Queensland and Griffith University. Her subjects of expertise are Broadcast Journalism and News Writing and Ethics.
Ange is also currently in training to walk the Kokoda track to commemorate the ANZAC centenary in April with Nova 106.9 and Channel 7 Brisbane.
