WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 10 things you need to know in Wilmington for Wednesday, February 1, 2017.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see a chance of snow showers before 1pm, then a slight chance of rain showers between 1pm and 3pm. Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 40. West wind 5 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

#2) The Wilmington Conservation Commission meets at 7pm at Wilmington Town Hall (Room 9). Read the agenda HERE.

#3) The Wilmington High School Varsity Cheerleading Team is holding a “Dining For A Cause” fundraiser at the Ninety Nine Restaurant (144 Lowell Street) from 4pm to 11pm. 15% of your bill will be donated to the team if you present THIS FLYER to your server/host.  The donation applies to both dine-on AND take-out orders.  No coupons, discounts or promotions are accepted during the fundraiser.

#4) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding TWO programs today:

Kindergarten Book Club (3:45pm)

Digital Clouds (7pm-8pm)

#6) The Wilmington Police Department offers safety seat installs at the Wilmington Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street) every Wednesday, 10am-2pm. No appointment is necessary, but calling ahead at 978-658-5071 is recommended. Learn more HERE.

#7) Several Wilmington High School sports are in action today:

4:15pm — GIRLS JV Basketball vs Tewksbury (at Wilmington High)

6:00pm — GIRLS Varsity Basketball vs. Tewksbury (at Wilmington High)

6:30pm — BOYS JV Wrestling @ Georgetown

8:00pm — BOYS Varsity Ice Hockey @ Reading

8:00pm — GIRLS Varsity Ice Hockey vs. Reading (at Ristuccia)

#8) The Wilmington High School Band Parents Association holds its monthly meeting at 7pm in the WHS Band Room.

#9) The Northside PAC holds its monthly meeting at 6pm at the Woburn Street School.
