WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for the week of Sunday, January 8, 2017.

Sunday, January 8:

A plow truck was involved in a crash at Lake Street and Shawsheen Avenue. Unspecified injury. Vehicle was towed. (12:28am)

A caller reported loud music coming from a South Street residence. Police responded. Resident admitted to playing guitar earlier. Police advised him to keep any further noise to a reasonable level. (8:54am)

A caller reported two men sitting in a blue 2016 Chevy Silverado appear to be drinking alcohol. Police responded to “keep an eye” on vehicle. (10:53am)

A Chestnut Street resident reported he lent his vehicle to an acquaintance on January 6 and the vehicle has yet to have been returned. Vehicle was reported stolen. (12:03pm)

Police notified the Public Buildings Department that a large ice dam was forming in front of the Public Safety Building. (3:09)

A caller reported an older man walking in the middle of the street, staggering. Police checked the area and could not locate the man. (7:49pm)

Monday, January 9:

A gray 2003 Honda Accord struck a pole on Cedar Street. Airbag deployed. No operator in sight. 30 minutes earlier, A Hunt Road resident reported the vehicle stolen overnight. (6:55am, 7:21am)

A walk-in party reported while leaving church yesterday, he slowly backed into the vehicle behind him in the St. Dorothy’s church parking lot. No damage was done to either vehicle, but he wanted the incident logged. (9:40am)

A walk-in party located various credit cards on the ground in front of a gas pump at the Shell Gas Station on Middlesex Avenue. Police notified Burlington Police, who contacted the card’s owners. (10:39am)

A Salem Street caller reported her vehicle was entered overnight. Her purse and rings were taken. One of the vehicle’s doors was unlocked. (11:00am)

Police gave out 12 parking citations at the MBTA Parking Lot on Main Street. (12:36pm)

Jessica Joyce Bishop (35, Methuen) was taken into protective custody. TJ Maxx employee called police after Bishop exhibited signs of intoxication. (3:21pm)

Tuesday, January 10:

Police responded to a minor crash between two tractor trailer units on Ballardvale Street, near Dynamex. No injuries noted. (5:32am)

A black 2014 Toyota Highlander and a gray 2014 Honda Civic were involved in a crash on Andover Street. Both vehicles were towed. Fire Department transported one individual with unspecified injuries. (8:15am)

Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout in the Target parking lot. (11:09am)

Police notified DPW to remove a bolder from a Foley Farm Road near the roadway. (11:21am)

A caller reported a woman was walking in the area of Marion Street and Chestnut Street with an unleashed pitbull.  The Animal Control Office responded and advised the dog owner of the town’s leash laws. (1:41pm)

Police notified DPW that the street sign for Birchwood Road was missing. (6:49pm)

Police spoke to a man in the parking lot of Windy City Wire, who stated he was scrapping screws and wires from the business’s dumpster.  Police sent him on his way and advised him he needs the business’s permission and a way to prove consent. (9:41pm)

Wednesday, January 11:

Police responded to a black 2008 Dodge Charger which drove off the road on Andover Street and into the berm.  Police requested a sander due to the icy road conditions in the area. (12:03am)

Police issued a parking citation to a pickup truck on Verdun Road for violating the winter parking ban. and parking with 20′ of an intersection. (1:04am)

A Chestnut Street resident reported their mailbox was run over, as well as the street sign for Hillside Way. (10:43am)

Police issued 11 parking citations at the MBTA Wilmington Center parking lot. (2:55pm)

Police arrested Emmanuel Martinez (21, Lowell) for larcency over $250 by a single scheme. Martinez was arrested at or near Jiffy Lube on Main Street. (3:03pm)

A Taft Road caller reported a theft of a trash barrel. (4:48pm)

A Longview Road caller reported a stolen UPS package.  Caller later called back to report the package had been located. (4:50pm)

A caller reported a neighbor at Metro at Wilmington Station apartments was smoking marijuana on the patio. He wanted the incident logged. (6:24pm)

Thursday, January 12:

Police issued 3 speeding tickets on Aldrich Road. (7:31am-7:57am)

Wilmington Police stopped a vehicle in Tewksbury, on or near Lake Street, with a party hanging on to the vehicle’s bumper while riding a skateboard. Tewksbury Police were notified, responded and spoke with the involved parties. (12:18pm)

Police issued 13 parking tickets in the MBTA Parking Lot. (2:23pm-3:00pm)

An anonymous caller reported a hypodermic needle on the side of the roadway off Brattle Street. Police retrieved and returned to the station for disposal. (3:03pm)

A resident turned in ammunition for destruction. (3:06pm)

A caller reported suspicious activity — a white male in a tan sedan approached her in the paring lot behind Whispering Pines Building #2 and asked for gas money.  Man described as a short white man with dark hair. Man was gone by the time police arrived. (5:17pm)

Friday, January 13:

School Support Services called the station reporting a student did not arrive at his program at Arlington High.  The bus company told the school department that the student wasn’t at the stop when the  van arrived to pick him up. The male party was described as a 20 year-old black male, autistic with limited communication skills. A caller later reported he observed a male party fitting the description of a missing person, walking on 93 South in the breakdown lane, approaching Commerce Way. Police responded, located the male party, and placed him in a police cruiser for transport. (9:43am)

Amalia Zankos (30, Medford) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration and having an uninsured motor vehicle. (12:52pm)

A caller reported cars were passing school buses while lights are flashing during morning pick-up on Loumac Road. Traffic patrol officers were notified. (2:48pm)

Police observed suspicious drug activity on Emerson Street and confiscated approximately 5 grams of marijuana. The involved parties’ mother and grandmother were notified of the situation. (3:28pm)

Thomas Gregory Schumacher (37, Lynnfield) was issued a summons for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding. (5:12pm)

Dawn Marie Coppola (63, Row, NH) was arrested for OUI Liquor and Marked Lanes Violation. Coppola was involved in a 2-vehicle crash on Lowell Street. She was taken to Winchester Hospital due to an unspecified injury. (6:28pm)

Thomas Ludwig (21, Londonderry, NH) was issued a summons for threatening to commit crimes. A resident reported receiving telephone threats from a friend’s boyfriend. (10:05pm)

Saturday, January 14:

A Wilton Drive caller wanted to report that his paperboy kicked the bushes next to his driveway. Caller just wanted it logged and did not wish to speak with an officer. (7:00am)

Police notified the Water Department of a possible water main break on Rollins Road. (10:10am)

A caller reported 4 loose chickens on Carter Lane. (3:01pm)

Police observed occupants of a vehicle rolling logs from a construction site on Middlesex Avenue Ext. Police advised the occupants and sent them on their way. (2:50pm)

A caller out walking their dog witnessed vehicles driving on the pedway to the Woburn Street School. Vehicles were gone by the time police arrived. (9:37pm)

A caller reported a possibly intoxicated bicyclist weaving in and out of traffic on Route 129 near Burger King. Police were unable to locate the bicyclist. (9:59pm)
