h2. To create a quick link,

# In the left hand file listing, browse to: Base Folder \-> Millersville \-> Your Department.
# Click on the '*New*' button in Cascade navigation (under the Cascade Server logo). See screenshot below.
# Hover into your '*Department Folder*' (you will see a list of assets: 2 Column Page, 3 Column Page, Folder, File, etc…).
# Click on '*Quick Link*'.
# Enter a title for your quick link.
# Enter a URL for your quick link in the '*Link*' field.
# Click the '*Submit*' button at the bottom.
#* By default, Cascade will automatically create the quick link within your department's _\_cms/quick links_ folder.

* A new quick link's '*Title*' field reflects the text that will appear in the quick links listing.
* The Title field will also be become the quick link's '*System Name*'. Cascade will automatically convert the Title into a more usable format by replacing capital letters with lowercase and replacing spaces with dashes.
** *Example:* If a new quick link is created and '_My New Link_' was entered in the title field, the quick link's system name will become '_my-new-link_' and '_My New Link_' will appear within the quick links listing along the left-hand side of all of your pages.

To create a quick link,

In the left hand file listing, browse to: Base Folder -> Millersville -> Your Department.

Click on the 'New' button in Cascade navigation (under the Cascade Server logo). See screenshot below.

More About the Title Field and Publishing

A new quick link's 'Title' field reflects the text that will appear in the quick links listing.
