We offer TaxJar Reports, a simple web-based reporting tool that organizes sales tax data into return-ready reports by state, AutoFile, a service that automatically files sales tax returns, and SmartCalcs API, a modern, accurate, sales tax API for developers to outsource sales tax rates and calculations.
As a Product Manager for Filing you will
Deeply understand the needs and desires of customers (and their designees) who file sales and use tax returns
Craft and own the vision for the best, most intuitive, most efficient sales and use tax filing system in the market
Work directly with states to identify specifications and constraints for their filing options
Work hand-in-hand with product development to define and prioritize the requirements they need to build and improve said service
Work with our tax experts, customer success, internal filing team to ensure we maintain our world class Net Promoter Score (yes, it’s currently above 70 for filing)
Coordinate with marketing on both inbound and outbound programs and communication
Requirements
This is a full-time remote position, available to folks located in the continental US only.
Skills & requirements we're looking for
2-5 years of experience in SaaS product management, preferably in small business, payroll or taxes
Strong interpersonal skills; you will need to develop strong relationships with developers, customer success team members, state employees, and stressed-out customers
You have the perfect combination of patience and an intense bias for action
Prior experience dealing with US state departments of revenue a big plus
Superior attention to detail, with strong process and documentation skills
Clear, concise writer
Self-directed, self-motivated
Excel at communicating with the team remotely (chat, video, email, etc)
