‘Kit Siang rumours sick, but BN suffers, too’
MCA and Gerakan has urged action against those who spread rumours on DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang’s death.
“Aghast” by the “sick” rumours, MCA publicity chairperson Chai Kim Sen, however, said that BN leaders, too, suffered from “malicious” rumour-mongering.
“I am aghast at this rumour and I can understand how DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng feels, because it is awful and terrible to be cursed or defamed…
“At the same time, I also urge Guan Eng to remember the proverb ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you’ before he condemns anyone,” he said in a statement.

“BN leaders too suffered, especially during the 2013 general election whereby pro-Pakatan websites had defamed and even cursed MCA and BN leaders to die,” he said.

Gerakan condemns ‘evil’ rumours on Kit Siang
Penang Gerakan has condemned the “irresponsible” Facebook messages circulated by unknown quarters that Gelang Patah MP Lim Kit Siang passed away.
The party’s state secretary Oh Tong Keong described such acts as “uncultured and evil.”
He urged the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), police and netizens to work together to “curb and prevent this bad culture from poisoning our society”.

Oh was responding to facebook messages by unknown persons who posted that Lim had died following his visit to the Institute Jantung Negara last week for a medical check-up.

Kit Siang’s heart OK, no blockage but has to rest: DAP leader admitted to hospital
KUALA LUMPUR – Doctors have given Lim Kit Siang a clean bill for health after the DAP parliamentary leader was admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN) earlier today for a medical check.
The 73-year-old Gelang Patah MP had undergone a stress test and an angiogram at the recommendation of a senior cardiologist, said party secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, who is also Kit Siang’s son.
“The results of the angiogram were negative – in that there was no blockage of the blood vessels in Sdr Lim’s heart and his heart is normal,” Guan Eng said in a statement.
The Bagan MP added that his father has been ordered to rest tonight before continuing his usual activities tomorrow.
He thanked all who had cared for and expressed concern for Kit Siang’s health. -Malaymail
