Rachel's Shop Local Holiday Guide 2023
It's that time of the year again to share 'Rachel's Shop Local Holiday Guide'! Whether you're shopping for a family member, a colleague,, or a significant other, we've got you covered. Best of all, you can find all these gifts right here in Vista!
For Families
Pair-A-Dice Games is a great spot to find board games, Pokémon cards, and family fun activities! My family is big on game night and Pair-A-Dice is our go-to spot for latest.
Experience gifts last all year long! Check out Wave Waterpark or Moonlight Stage Productions tickets or a family membership to the Alta Vista Botanical Garden. My kids love jump passes at Altitude Trampoline Park or gift cards for a cat experience at Cat & Craft Café. And you can’t go wrong with tickets to Cinepolis.
Get the Party Started
For those on your list that love craft beer, wine or spirits, Vista has so many options! Check out 117 West Spirits for their variety of spirits and Burtech Family Vineyard or Coomber Craft Wines are both excellent choices for the vino enthusiast. For those who enjoy mead or kombucha, Twisted Horn and Local Roots can hook you up. We have quite a few Chamber Member breweries and I am sure they would love your support, check them our here. Frazier Farms has lots of options for beer and wine gifts. And make sure to check out their bakery/deli on the way to that family potluck. Or place an order with Bleu Oak Charcuterie and wow them with a beautiful meat and cheese display.
All Unique + Coffee Lovers
For the new moms or babies in your life, Babies in Bloom has a variety of gifts, clothes, accessories. My go-to gift for every new baby in my family is a custom name puzzle. It’s a hit every year! Beads, Crystals & More is another great spot for unique gifts such as gems, rocks, or jewelry made from either. Shakarian Fine Jewelers, a longtime Vista business, has a great selection of jewelry, too! And don’t forget the life-juice-COFFEE. I recommend Archer’s Arrow in Downtown or get cold brew delivered from The Steeping Giant.
Tasty + Show Appreciation for Your Employees
There are so many tasty Vista restaurant options for gift cards, catering or dinner out. Check out the Vista Chamber directory here for a robust list of restaurants. CoLab Public House is a fantastic spot offering something for everyone in a food hall-type environment.
For work how about picking up something sweet? Little Cakes Cupcake Kitchen, Peppertree Frosty, Handel’s Homemade Ice cream, Water Shack, Cold Stone Creamery can satisfy any sweet tooth. Employees HME focuses on celebrating employees and clients and can help you with a custom thank any time of year. Also, custom clothing or hats from Embroidery Image, Alchemy Print Co, or Machine Print Shop make unique and fun gifts and is another option for employees. Or maybe everyone in the family just needs their own logo blanket for movie night!
Treat the Moms in Your Life
As a mom, sometimes I just must shop for myself. A relaxing massage from Chiropractic Wellness Center, hair accessories, or service gift cards from Hellbent for Hair may just find their way into my stocking this year. And don’t forget a service from Tina’s Nails or the Star Nails Bar. And, as I think about my fitness goals for next year, classes at Yoga Branch or sessions with a trainer at North County Fitness and Performance might be a good idea, too!
Treat the Men and Pets in Your Life
The men in my life prefer practical gifts so gift cards for car services or oil changes at Golden Wrench or TJ Crossman Auto Repair are good choices. Or maybe getting that door ding handled at J&R Auto Body would go over well. Another budget-friendly option is a laptop or computer monitor from The Computer Factory. They have great deals there! But men need pampering too, and Kingdom Kutz, Culture Barber Lounge, and Sport Clips are all great places to treat your fellas.
Looking for something a little more romantic for your special someone? Check out Déjà vu Love Boutique for lingerie and other adult gifts. And please, do not forget your furry friends. My dog Bailey LOVES a playdate at Giddy Up Pup and the groomers there know just how to pamper your pet!
I hope you found this holiday shopping guide helpful. Our Vista businesses are grateful for your support. Let me know if you try any of these; I'd love to know what you think!
