Are you planning your holiday in Tunisia? There are some great hotels and resorts where you can spend amazing days filled with relaxation and sunbathing.

Trip to Tunisia was an amazing chance to enjoy sunshine and explore various historical sights dating back to the Roman period. I had such a good time! Make sure to check my other article  7 Reasons Why You Should Spend Your Next Holiday in Tunisia.

During my 10 days’ trip, I was lucky to stay in some great resorts and hotels all over Tunisia. In this post, I am sharing five of them with you. Make your choice, which is your favorite. Enjoy!

01 | Yadis Djerba Thallaso

The perfect retreat for body and mind

Yadis Djerba is a beach front hotel is situated in green lush garden, spanning across 14-hectare land. This little piece of heaven features palm trees, private beach and even a golf course. By the way, it’s awarded by Tripadvisor as the best hotel in the area.

This hotel is my favorite resort in Tunisia. Does it also happen to you that first hotel where you stay in a country remains special? With Yadis Djerba, I will always remember when I arrived and went directly to the beach. It was sunning place with lots of sun lounges. I loved it so much! (And not only because they got great beach restaurant:)

Minus: It’s a labyrinth – I got lost few times searching my room. Better stay near reception:)
Plus: The hotel features an amazing Roman spa. Definitely give a try to their steam room!
Facilities: outdoor and indoor heated swimming pool, golf  and tennis course,  spa

02 | Les Oliviers Palace

Royal feeling and culinary experience

Looking from outside more like a castle than a hotel, Les Oliviers Palace in Sfax is quite impressive for the first sight. With its classy rooms, it makes for a city hotel with royal touch. It has the best hotel restaurant from all these hotels – each dish was a pure perfection J

During my stay the main hall was always busy with some conference, yet the rooms were really quiet and comfortable. There is even a small indoor swimming pool on the ground floor. Les Oliviers is perfect base for exploring Sfax, as it’s in walking distance from the historical center.

Plus: It’s located in walking distance from the historical center of Sfax.
Minus: Rooms with windows facing into the lobby are a bit noisier.
Facilities: Fitness room, indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi, spa.

03 | Mehari Hammamet

I still dream of this sandy beach

Merhari Hammamet is great place to stay when you are longing to experience some of the country’s best beaches spanning along the famous Cap Bon peninsula.  I just could’t get enough of the sea – it was windy and I had big fun to play around the waves.

I stayed in spacious room with balcony featuring the sea view. I really liked the nicely decorated swimming pool area with lot of sun lounges. And they got and outdoor pool, too. So much choice for sun seekers!

Minus: It’s not beach front resort– one has to cross a street to get to the sea.
Plus: Thanks to the two pools and animation program, it is great for the kids as well.
Facilities: 4 restaurants, outdoor and indoor swimming pool, beach, fitness center, garden.

04 | Iberostar Royal El Mansour

Five-star treatment

Sitting along Mahdia’s sandy beach, Iberostar Royal offers all that one could possible need for a perfect beach holiday. The grounds of the hotel are really stunning and well designed, it feels very comfortable and simply luxurious. Both facilities and service are five-star.

I got an amazing room with large balcony looking directly towards the beach. I was incredibly unlucky with the weather – it was cold and rainy that day.  I could only see the famous Mahdia beach from the window. Well, next time!

Plus: I loved their fruit juices at the breakfast. They were just amazing!
Minus: There is no problem I could possibly find at this hotel. Just perfect!
Facilities:  Fitness room, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, golf course, garden, nightclub, playground, spa

Amazing breakfast buffet

tunisia-resorts

Located along the Gammarth Beach near Tunis, Ramada Plaza is perfect base for those who would like to visit Cartague and enjoy the seaside. The resort features premium beachfront location – you can’t be any closer to the beach, really.

I loved the setting of one of the restaurants, where you could have breakfast and sit outside at the pool. The terrace of Ramda Plaza is really pleasant, and make you feel like this is just a perfect start of the day.

Plus: Near the sea with variety of water sports available. And great base for those heading to Cartague!
Minus: The furniture could be a bit more up to date!
