Our 11th season is our biggest yet!
Over the past ten years, the ICHSA has grown from one or two shows each year to a full-fledged tournament with quarterfinal rounds. We were thrilled to receive a record number of applications this year — so many, in fact, that we had to add extra events to accommodate as many applicants as possible. Here’s what’s new:
The Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Northeast regions now have quarterfinal rounds, where the top two (Midwest) or three groups (Mid-Atlantic and Northeast) from each quarterfinal will advance to a regional semifinal. The winner of the regional semifinal will be invited to ICHSA Finals.
In the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Northeast regions, groups that place second or third in the semifinal round will be invited to submit a video to the online Wild Card round. Videos will be scored by a panel of judges, and the two groups from this round will be invited to ICHSA Finals. Only groups that place second or third in the semifinal rounds in these three regions will be allowed to submit to the Wild Card round.
We’ve added new events in Colorado and Georgia, so we now have semifinal only rounds in the South (GA), Southeast (FL), Southwest (TX), Northwest (OR) and West (CO). The winner of each semifinal will be invited to Finals.
Events will begin in mid-January and continue through late March. Tickets for most quarterfinal and semifinal rounds go on sale on December 1. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for a reminder! Please remember that many events do sell out in advance, so we recommend picking up tickets in advance of the show.
