**Job Description**

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Data Architect - Cloud in Minneapolis, MN.

**Essential Responsibilities** :

The Data Architect - Cloud position will closely partner with business users on requirements gathering, system design, configuration, and implementation. Specifically, the Data Architect -Cloud position will partner with core business line subject matter experts to design and architect solutions that align with business priorities; design and implement the data acquisition strategy with the right toolset (ETL, Streaming, etc.); identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality; use large data sets to address business issues; help with continuous improvement of the data platform and data practice within the organization; and lead the team in digital transformation journey; supervise junior Data Analytics/Engineer positions. The Data Architect - Cloud position will use the following technologies to perform the duties of the position: SQL and Python; data engineering and cloud data processing services (Azure and/or AWS); Big Data technologies (Hadoop or Spark or Snowflake); and ETL tools like Talend Big Data, Informatica, Power Center, DataStage, Glue. **Basic Qualifications:**

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as econometrics, computer science, engineering or applied mathematics, or equivalent and 5 years of related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience.

**Required Skills/Experience:**

Must also have 5 years (60 months) of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: 1) Using programming scripting languages including SQL and Python. 2) Working with big Data technologies, Hadoop, Spark or Snowflake. 3) Using ETL tools including Talend Big Data, Informatica, Power Center and DataStage. 4) Working with Azure or AWS. All experience may be gained concurrently. Telecommuting available anywhere in US. HQ at 800 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55402. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $140,358 - $171,000.
