From now through kickoff at USA Football's 2017 National Conference at Pro Bowl, we will take a look at some of the notable speakers and sessions on the docket for one of the country’s largest gatherings of high school football coaches.

The rub:
Mike Dawson has coached at the FCS, FBS and NFL levels, and he’s also served as a high school athletic director. His coaching background is both vast and unique.
In January 2016, Dawson joined the staff at UCF as the team’s defensive line coach and the results were immediate.
In 2016, the team compiled 38 sacks, good for third in the American Athletic Conference and a massive improvement from last year’s 25-sack effort.
After forcing just four interceptions last year and finishing last in the conference, UCF picked off 15 passes, fourth-most in the conference.
Put simply, Dawson knows how to get pressure on the quarterback. In the modern game, with teams throwing more frequently than ever, knowing how to get to the quarterback and force turnovers is an indispensable trait of a defensive coach.
At the 2017 USA Football National Conference at Pro Bowl, Dawson will dive into the Xs and Os that have driven the success he’s achieved.
