Bengaluru - Riding a motorcycle in hot weather often makes it uncomfortable. Especially the head that must be wrapped in a helmet so that it makes it stuffy. Sometimes it makes you feel less comfortable.

Men in India have a breakthrough to ride a motorcycle in the hot sun more comfortable. The man named Sandeep Dahiya, a mechanic from Bengaluru, designed a portable device that could be adjusted to blow cold or warm air as needed.

Enhancements on this helmet are named Vatanukul, in Hindi meaning AC. The portable air conditioner for the helmet can be carried anywhere and stored in a small backpack that can be carried on the driver's back.
This device adds just 125 grams to the helmet. In his backpack, there is a device to regulate the temperature which weighs up to 1,800 grams.
There is a kind of plug that connects the portable AC unit with a motorcycle battery. This device also has a controller to regulate the temperature. When the cooling mode is set, the blue light will light up and the temperature inside the helmet will be cooler. Conversely, when the heating mode is activated, the red light comes on and warm air will be exhaled.
This system works on a 12 volt DC power supply supplied by a motor battery, without the need for other external energy.
Sandeep has conducted several experiments and has designed 8 different models in the past four and a half years. He was inspired when he saw many motorists open their helmets at red lights because of the heat.
