Kim Lubel, 2018 United Way Campaign Chair and former chair, president and CEO of CST Brands, recently announced the 2018 United Way Community Campaign raised $46,010,000, exceeding the campaign goal of $41.25 million by $4,760,000!

The announcement was made December 12 at a community breakfast held at Pearl Stable with over 300 people attending to celebrate the gifts that will help San Antonio residents, young and old.

The issues facing the community are complex and connected. Hunger, academic failure, a family’s inability to meet basic needs, and struggling neighborhoods are often related. The money raised by United Way provides much-needed support for thousands of children, families, and individuals across Bexar County.

In step with changing community needs, United Way is taking a comprehensive approach to tackling social challenges across Bexar County. Collectively, donor gifts will have a powerful impact through investments in strategies to help people in more substantial ways and achieve greater impact from our donors’ gifts.

Thank you, everyone, for your generosity and spirit of caring!
