Full Page Cache
After we have been through the AOB and the news for this week we jump straight in to the meat of the Full Page Cache topic.
For those who don’t know what a Full Page Cache (FPC) is we start off with some expertly drawn diagrams to illustrate exactly what is going on when a customer views your site, and why implementing an FPC extension would greatly improve the speed of your website.
Speed Test Results
In the recording we show you the speed test results for the Osoyou website which has had nothing done to it, and is just a bog standard vanilla Magento website.
As you can see in the table below our page load times were not great by any means, and our goal here was to try and half these times, just by installing an FPC extension.

We do make the point towards the end that if you have the budget available then you may want to consider a paid for FPC extension as this will bring a nice level of automation with it which will be useful to your business.
