American Horror Story still has many stories left to tell.
The hit FX drama has been renewed for another two seasons of scares and we could not be more excited.
Previously, the show was renewed for Season 7, but FX has went one step further and gifted fans with an order for two seasons in addition to the previous renewal.
American Horror Story Season 6 returned the show to its former glory, with crazy twists and a whole lot of murder.
“American Horror Story launched the modern limited series revolution and – as evidenced by the most recent installment ‘Roanoke’ – it remains as vital today as when “Murder House” stunned audiences six years ago,” said John Landgraf, CEO of FX Networks and FX Productions.
“Each new chapter is a cultural event, beloved for every new twist in imagery, style, cast and plot. We are thrilled that Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and the entire creative team will continue to deliver the groundbreaking, celebrated "American Horror Story” for years to come.”
The most recent season of American Horror Story managed to increase in the ratings slightly. It averaged 2.9 million total viewers and a 1.6 rating in the adults 18-49 demo.
The show gets a sizeable bump with delayed viewing factored in.
Previously, there was word that Ryan Murphy was working on a secret season of the series that would be released to audiences as a surprise.
It's unclear if that is still on the agenda, or if we will have one season per year.
There has also been reports that the next few seasons will feature the return of characters from American Horror Story Season 1, American Horror Story Season 3 and American Horror Story Season 4.

The cast has yet to be announced for American Horror Story Season 7, but there are rumblings that we will know what to expect from the new season well in advance.
You can now breathe a huge sigh of relief.
As you probably already know, FX were relentless with a multitude of teasers that were pretty confusing because there were just so many possibilities for the storylines.
