PF deputy secretary general Mumbi Phiri on Monday insulted administrators and members of a newly formed WhatsApp group called “Dr CK Solidarity PF” before exiting.
Mumbi, along with many other PF members, was added to the group which she exited.
But yesterday when she was re-added, Mumbi exploded and called the chat group “stupid”.
Mumbi, who engaged the administrators, said they were useless and stupid for adding her to the chat without her consent.
“Why are you adding me to your foolish page? I am not a pig to be swimming in your mad [sic]. I come out, you added me back. Dr CK solidarity, what’s this rubbish, you are a useless admin, remove me now, stupid,” Mumbi said.
Following her sharp remarks, members of the group and administrators took Mumbi on, urging her to behave like a leader.
Chanda Mumba: “Seriously, why insult mum, we need you here.”
Max Mulenga: “Yes, why insult?”
GBM [Gilbert Bwalya Mwamba, PF founder member]: “Show maturity not insulting.”
Mumbi Phiri: “Because you are useless, why add me to something I don’t understand.”
Chanda Mumba: “Today we are useless kaaa?”
GBM: “What kind of a leader are you?”
Mumbi Phiri: “You should learn to ask people, not just add them.”
Chanda Mumba: “Mama you will need us.”
GBM: “Remember we are all PF members and we know what’s happening.”
Mumbi Phiri: “Stupid is stupid; it has no other name.”
Max Mulenga: “Forgive our manners, but you are already here. Now we have questions we feel you need to answer.”
As the debate raged on, more PF members joined in telling the deputy secretary general to be exemplary when handling matters relating to the party.
The members told Mumbi that there was no need for her to call them stupid as she would need them in 2021.
Chanda Mumba: “We need your views as a group, that’s the reason we added you here and not insults.”
GBM: “We are watching you. Be like Frank Bwalya. I think we have puppets in PF.”
Derrick Yoram Kafuti: “Madam DSG, I think you need to cool down and listen to us. If what will be said won’t make sense, then you leave the for…otherwise we are all PF and we love you our leaders.”
Chanda Mumba: “Mama, 2021 is coming; you will also dance to our tune. Mind you, we are many and in all provinces. All we wanted was you to address us on what’s happening because we can’t all come to your office. This is a good platform for you to address us as a leader and mother for PF and not insult mama. When we add you, it’s respect we have for you. Madam we need an apology, today we are stupid? Madam, it’s shocking that you can come out the way you have. We are crying to you for you to help us but all we get from you are insults. Are you sure of yourself? How do you mentor us, so if we insult back, are you going to complain?”
GBM: “Does it mean that Frank Bwalya is stupid? I am very disappointed ba Mumbi, that is a bad behavior.”
Max Mulenga: “I am sure she now knows the real reason she has been added and bamayo if you don’t apologise, 2021, ifwe twaba ku Munali Constituency.”
After a long silence, Mumbi exited the group at 09:49 hours but the members continued expressing their disappointment over her conduct.
At 09:59 hours, Mumbi was added back to the group but this drew mixed reaction from the members on her return.
Muchi: “Iwe remove this woman naiwe.”
Kapalasa Phiri: “Guys this is a voluntary group, if one exits, respect their decision.”
Max Mulenga: “We agree with you but people like her should feel the fire so that they know what’s on the ground. 2021 wapya baisa, nankwe nankwe!”
Mumbi Phiri: “Please remove me from this stupid page; I have tried to come out but failed. Why add me to something I am not part of. Fight your battles, leave me out.”
The group members continued attacking Mumbi over her conduct until she exited again at 10:13 hours.
