- An opinion poll has shown who is the most popular NASA candidate among its three leaders

- The poll conducted between January 9 and 26 2017 indicates that Raila Odinga is the NASA leader whom a sections of Opposition supporters have most confidence in

- It comes at a time the opposition coalition is battling to pick the most popular candidate to face Uhuru in the August 2017 poll

An opinion poll by IPSOS has revealed who is the most popular leader in the National Super Alliance (NASA).

The poll conducted between January 9 and 26 2017 indicates that Raila Odinga is the NASA leader whom a sections of Opposition supporters have most confidence in.

Raila garnered a 51% approval rating ahead of the other three NASA leaders Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula. Generally, the Opposition is trusted by 52% of Kenyans.

Kalonzo follows with a 42% popularity level while Mudavadi scored 41% among the respondents. Wetangula who is also Bungoma senator managed a partly 34% approval rating.

The four Opposition leaders have come together to form the NASA coalition with hope of removing President Uhuru Kenyatta from power in the August 2017 election.

But they are yet to settle on one of them to be a presidential candidate with jostling among them as each fights to clinch the seat.

The results also showed that 9% of Jubilee supporters have confidence in the Opposition with another 5% of Jubilee supporters approving of Raila, Kalonzo and Mudavadi and 3% giving Wetangula the thumbs up.
