The same people who murdered Jacob Juma are the ones out to finish Mombasa Hassan Joho, CORD leader Raila Odinga has sensationally claimed.

He was speaking in Isebania town in Migori county on Thursday, January 19, where he said the government were looking to do away with the Mombasa governor the same way they did controversial businessman Jacob Juma.

According to the CORD leader, they aim to finish Joho because of his firm political stance with NASA.

“People who killed businessman Jacob Juma now want to kill Mr. Joho because of his political stand. Let them try,” Raila was quoted saying.

Raila also expressed his confidence in the coming polls, and went on to make another daring statement, saying his CORD team already had 11 million votes at their disposal.

He urged people from his traditional domain to come out in large numbers to register as voters as the major way to ensure Uhuru is oust come August was through the tyranny of numbers.

This, even as the Mombasa governor is seemingly losing popularity in his own county.

Joho sent out a media statement on Wednesday, January 18 asking matatu drivers, tuk tuk and boda boda riders to refuse to carry any passenger who fails to produce a voter's card after February 14.

His proposed directive was met fiercely, particularly by Ali bates, an official of the Matatu Owners Association, who said the demand should not be a requirement in public transport as much as it is important.
