Cute puppy photos help concentration.
A cute puppy, a cute baby and a cute kitten have a tendency to make most of us smile. A 2012 study by Japanese researchers from Hiroshima University showed that a cute puppy and a cute kitten can do more than that. People, the study showed, who looked at pictures of a cute puppy and a cute kitten had high levels of concentration.
A cute puppy can make you smart? The study, which was called the ‘Power of Kawaii,’ says it is possible. Kawaii means cute in Japanese.
For the study, about 132 university students were divided up into groups. Each group was given a specific assignment. These assignments were performed twice – once before looking at pictures of puppies and kittens or adult dogs and cats, and once after.
Those students who saw the pictures of the baby canines and felines performed their tasks better than those who were given the adult cat and dog pictures. The results were similar each time. This suggested that looking at cute pictures of the kittens and puppies increased attentiveness even when the task at hand was mundane. The group that saw kitten and puppies were more accurate and faster.
Recently, a group of pictures of dogs who turned green after a roll in the grass hit the Internet. There were pcitures of dogs who had ‘welcomed’ Spring by rolling around in freshly mowed grass. The grass had left stains. There were pictures of big dogs, small dogs, medium dogs, guilty dogs, ‘smiling’ dogs, white dogs, old dogs and young dogs. Each dog was stained with green on their coats or a specific part of their body. Most of the pictures came from individuals who had posted phots on Instagram or Reddit. These photos were taken through the years.
Pictures of puppies and kittens can be found on most social media sites in news feeds. The picture might have a saying on it. The picture also 
could have the baby animals in funny poses. These images tend to lead social media users to share the photos on their own personal sites.
So next time you need help focusing, take a break and find some cute puppy or kitten pictures. A cute puppy can do more for you than an energy drink or vitamins made to help you focus.
