Packet Pick Up

Wednesday April 6th until Friday April 8th – Fleet Feet Stores 10AM – 7PM

Saturday, April 10 – NO PACKET PICK UP

Sunday, April 11, Race Day – at the starting lines 6:00 AM – 7:45 AM

Bib Transfer

There will be not transfers at the Fleet Feet Packet Pick Ups.

To Change Your Race Registration

Please locate the email confirmation of your race registration, it contains a link to edit your registration.

The process will allow you to transfer your registration, they will be charged the cost of the race at the current price point.

You will be charged a transfer fee of $10.00 and will be issued a credit for race fees.

Parking

All Runners: look for parking signs to indicate lots. They are yellow with red letters.

5-mile Runners: RTA is providing a parking lot located on Harvard Avenue. Look for Towpath Parking signs. Shuttle buses can transport you from the parking lot to the start. They will also take you back following the race – go to Post Party area for shuttles – Iron City Café. Shuttles will run starting at 9 am.

Half Marathon/ 3-Miler Runners: Runners will park in lots adjacent to East 49 Street. Lots will be marked with signs indicating “Parking” – runners will shuttled back to their cars after the race – you can catch shuttle at Post Race Party – Iron City Café – located at the intersection of Jennings Rd. and Harvard Ave. starting at 9:00 am.

How many aid stations are on the course?
Half Marathon: 8 aid stations and 10 portolets

5–Miler: 5 Aid Stations and 2 portolets

3-Miler:  2 Aid Stations and 2 portalets

Is every mile marked along the course?

Yes. The half marathon miles are marked with yellow signs and red numbers. The 5–Miler will be marked with white signs with green letters.  The 3-Miler will be marked with white signs and black letters.

Awards, what are the age groups and who is eligible?

1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Overall Male & Female (Half Marathon & 5-Miler & 3-Miler)

Top Master Male & Female (Half Marathon & 5-Miler)

For the Half Marathon and 5-Miler:  1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Male & Female in the following age groups:

19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-99 (Half Marathon & 5-Miler only)

Do I receive a medal?

Only Half Marathoners will receive a finisher’s medal.

Will there be shuttle buses to return runners after the race?

Yes. The Half Marathoners and 3-Milers will be shuttled from the Finish Line area at lower Harvard/ Jennings Road to their cars parked on E. 49th St. near Grant Ave. Busses will begin the shuttle service at 9am.

What are the recommended spectator locations?

Good places for spectators at the Towpath Half Marathon are:

The Half Marathon Starting Line, park in the lots on East 49 Street.

The Towpath Trail below the Cleveland Metroparks Canalway Center, park in the visitor parking lot by the Canalway Center, note the drive will be closed until after the start of Half Marathon/ 3-Miler  plan to arrive after 8:30 am. From this vantage, you will see runners twice – miles 6 and 11 of the Half Marathon and mile 2.5 for the 5 Miler.

Will there be a bag drop?

Yes. There will be a volunteer at the start area with duct tape and markers. Put your bib number on your tag. It will be sorter numerically at the finish area. We are not responsible for lost/stolen items, but the bags will be watched.

How long is the course open?

The course will be supported with aid stations for 3 hours from the 8:00 am start. We cannot guarantee road closures or staffed aid stations past this time.

Do you allow walkers?

Yes. Half Marathon walkers will begin one hour earlier – start at 7:00 am – they will meet at the park located on E. 49th St. south of Grant Ave. Walkers should alert Kathy Cole (kcole@canalwaypartners.com) of their intention to walk.

5-mile walkers will begin race at 7:30 am, from the 5-mile start.
