For Immediate Release

Adatasol, an Ohio-based software development company, announces today the acquisition of Studio Suite, the leading studio management software developed by Burbank, California-based AlterMedia. The purchase includes all of the related Studio Suite software assets.

In order to ensure a smooth transition, Joel Stoner, the founder of AlterMedia and the creator of Studio Suite, will continue on as a consultant to Adatasol during the transitional period. Key members of the AlterMedia team are also joining in, and will add to Adatasol’s already sizable team of skilled developers.

Stoner founded AlterMedia over 22 ago years to bring Studio Suite to market. Since then, it has been purchased by leading studios in over 55 countries. Studio Suite contains a collection of business-oriented modules targeted at both small and large production & post-production companies working on music / tv / film / games, as well as media divisions within many Fortune 100 companies. It manages: budgeting / scheduling / project management, tasks, invoicing, resource management, CRM, equipment inventory, media asset management, barcodes, and so much more. It also includes integrations with QuickBooks, Xero, Google, Outlook, and Apple Calendars, Slack, Twillio, Box, DropBox, and Google Drive. Other key features of Studio Suite are that it’s able to be quickly and easily customized to adapt to the many varied workflows across the media production spectrum, and that it’s accessible anywhere via browser.

The primary goal of Studio Suite is to allow the creative people get back to being creative, and business people back to business, by freeing up resources and allowing everyone to focus on building income-generating content.

“We’re excited about the transition of Studio Suite to Adatasol,” says Stoner. “There were a number of companies interested in acquiring Studio Suite, but we chose Adatasol because of its reputation as a leading developer of Filemaker-based products, as well as their commitment to customer service. They also have a great team of developers supporting the company’s aggressive growth strategies. Adding our team to theirs is going to be great for the future of Studio Suite, our customers, and Adatasol. It’s literally a win, win, win.”

Adatasol is no stranger to company acquisitions — Studio Suite is the third for this expanding company within the last two years. Their previous acquisitions are TourTools, software for the travel and tour industry, and FrameReady, software for the picture framing industry.

“Studio Suite is a part of our acquisition strategy as we continue to seek software products that demonstrate great potential for future success,” says Daniel Weiss, Adatasol Founder and President. “We’re thrilled to welcome Studio Suite into our family of software products, and are excited about what the future holds for Adatasol. Undoubtedly, you will be hearing about further acquisitions by Adatasol in the coming years.”
