To be successful at this Job, you’ll need:
* Strong understanding of MVC and OOP design.
* Experience with one or more web technologies (Ruby, PHP, Python, Javascript, etc). Ruby experience preferred.
* Some experience with SQL – our datasets are large, so understanding how your query will be executed is important.
* Willing to continually learn.
It would be great if you also have:
* Experience designing high availability APIs using REST.
* Some experience writing automated unit test (Rspec would be great).
* Experience with modern javascript frameworks such as AngularJS.
* Familiarity with Amazon Web Services or other major cloud providers.
* Experience with NoSQL solutions such as Mongo, Redis, and ElasticSearch.
