Hong Kong—June 16 The best 100 nature photos from around the world, submitted by participants to The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC’s) “What’s Your Nature?” global photo contest, will be unveiled on June 16 (US Eastern Time), on tnc.org.hk/naturephotocontest.
Four photos from Hong Kong photographers Leka Huie, Ka Wai Li, William Shum and Francois Wolfaardt have won a place in the coveted top 100. TNC received a total of 32,704 entries from nature lovers from 141 countries and territories around the world.
Chosen by an international judging panel—including Hong Kong’s own Sean Lee-Davies—the top 100 photos span eight categories: Overall, Mobile, Young Photographers (18-25), People and Nature, Underwater, Wildlife, Adventure, and Nature in Cities.
“We are inspired by the stunning nature photos in the top 100, and are especially proud to see pictures from some Hong Kong photographers in the mix,” said Louisa Ho, Executive Director of TNC Hong Kong.
From these top 100, fans around the world can vote through June 30 for their favorite photos and choose the People’s Choice winner. All winners will be announced July 1 (US Eastern time).
