Imagine opening your school yearbook and seeing a movie!! Sounds pretty crazy, right? This year TIS’s yearbook will be full of just that, Movies! This is one very special way we can remember and celebrate this past year. This is accomplished by using an app called Aurasma.

Rather than explain it, let me show an example.

If you already have Aurasma on your device skip to step 3

Visit the iOS App Store or your Android App Store, search and download the Aurasma app.

Swipe through the tutorial screens, then press Skip on the account setup screen.

In the app, at the bottom of the screen tap

Then tap .

Type Tisyearbook in the search window

Select Tisyearbook and tap Follow.

Tap

Now point the viewfinder over the picture below and see what happens.

Double click on the video to make it full screen. Double click to close.

On-line Courses - Summer, 2015

High school students desiring to take on-line courses during the summer of 2015 (and earn TIS high school credit) should speak with Mr. Scranton, the Guidance Counselor, before May 8th. These courses are not designed to "get ahead" in a subject, but are used for transfer students to "catch up" and to resolve scheduling impossibilities. Students who take on-line courses need to meet academic criteria, have permission from the principal, and pay for the classes on their own. On-line classes demand a great deal of self-discipline and inner motivation, and should not be attempted without a strategic plan

Senior Portfolio Presentations

Starting on Tuesday, May 26, the Class of 2015 will be giving their Senior Portfolio Presentations in which the graduating class reflects on academic and personal growth as students at TIS.  Parents and friends are warmly welcomed to attend.  The 2015 senior presentations will take place in room A410 (Mr. Brents' classroom).  We look forward to seeing many of you there!
