Whisky New Releases 2016 Week 29
Welcome to this week’s Whisky New Releases, a regular feature in which we report on the best of both the official and independently bottled whiskies released during the previous week.
Some travel retail exclusives became available this week from anCnoc, Ardmore, Dalmore and Johnnie Walker. A slew of Gordon & MacPhail releases including Clynelish, Macallan and Glen Grant with a couple of well-aged examples in here. My eye was caught by the Glentauchers and rarely idependently-bottled Pulteney from G&M. Another interesting batch from That Boutique-Y Whisky Company with 1st batch releases from Laphroaig and Ardmore as well as some old Grains like Strathclyde and MoM’s Caledonian, though the price tags of these grains are starting to push the envelope for me – bottles like these a couple of years ago would have been half the price.
