Yoga is something which we all know,
and something, about which we keep hearing often. And most of us even
contemplate taking up yoga to keep ourselves fit. But some or the
other reason comes up, and we don’t. If you’re reading this article,
you’ve probably made up your mind to take the first step towards
pursuing Yoga – which my friend, is a appreciable move! And to help
you out at the onset of this journey, I have a few easy yoga poses,
that will help you prepare your body to perform the advanced ones.
Read on…

Mountain pose:
Tadasana, or
the Mountain pose – is the simplest yoga pose. All you have to do
is stand with your feet touching each other and join your hands and
bring them closer to your chest. You could also choose to point your
hands upward, with elbows straight. Do this, stand erect and close
your eyes. This asana will help you bring together all the scattered
energy in your body, and you’ll end up feeling calm and relaxed.

Cow Pose:
Bitilasana is
another comfortable pose for starters. Get on all fours, keep your
hands apart at shoulder-width and your knees apart at hip-width. Look
straight down at the floor and focus on your breathing and pushing
your butt back.

Cat pose:
From the Cow pose
above, crouch your shoulders and arch your back inwards as you
inhale. You can do this pose immediately after the Cow Pose.

Tree Pose:
Vrikshasana is a
pose that helps you stretch your body and increase its stability and
balance. Stand erect and slowly lift your right leg and place it on
the inner left thigh. Lift your hands and join them above the
ceiling. Try to keep your body vertically aligned along with rhythmic
breathing.

Dog pose:
Again, come on all
fours with wrists below shoulders and knew below hips. Lift up your
hips in such a way that your arms and back are in the same level. It
strengthens your hamstrings and glutes.

Warrior pose:
This is similar
to lunges. The only difference is that the outstretched foot should
be pointing towards the side rather than being supported by the toes.
Hold your joined hands upwards and stretch backwards.

Corpse Pose:
Yep. That’s
right You must be wondering how it’s going to benefit you. But hold
on, Shavasana is essential too. It helps you relax after your yoga
routine, bringing all the energy in your body together and increases
your ability to remain still.

Don’t keep postponing, begin with yoga
right away! These simple poses will help you achieve the flexibility
and strength your body needs to pursue further complex forms of yoga. For more information check out Yogahub website.
