The FIFA World Cup is coming to Los Angeles in June and you don’t need match tickets or a car to be part of the excitement!

Metro is supporting dozens of events across L.A. County that bring the energy, culture and global spirit of the FIFA World Cup to local communities for free. See the map above or visit this interactive map.

Here’s a preview of how you can experience the beautiful game:

View World Cup matches at public screenings that are accessible and easy to reach using transit. We’re calling these our Transit-First Fan Zones.

Select Transit-First Fan Zones are Official Los Angeles 26 World Cup Fan Zones, while others are community-led watch-parties and gatherings.

Enjoy performances and activities that provide some flavor of the World Cup at more than 15 Metro stations.

Walk or bike on streets closed to car traffic but open to World Cup energy.

These free fan events are easy to reach by bus or rail – there’s no need to sit in traffic or pay for pricey stadium tickets.

Use the new LA Metro app to plan your transit trip. The app is free and available for iPhones and Android phones:

Rider Safety

Our Metro Ambassadors – who wear bright green shirts — will be stationed across our system to help you find your way and answer your questions. We’ll have plenty of other staff on the system to keep your ride clean and safe. Learn more about all our public safety work by clicking here.

If you need to reach security while riding, call 888.950.7233 or text 213.788.2777. In an emergency, call 911.
