Khalifa Haftr, head of the Libyan National Army, called newly-elected Prime Minister Meitik “illegitimate” and said parliamentary elections should be postponed for at least three months while LNA forces rid the country of terrorists. Hftar’s forces are conducting reconnaissance over Derna, looking for Islamist militants, including Ansar al Sharia.
Benghazi’s Benina airport closed after a rocket attack, and nearby Beida airport, citing security concerns, urged airlines to prevent non-Libyans from boarding international flights to Beida. The Benghazi newspaper (“hippopotamus”) editor, Key Abu Zayd
who had recently interviewed Hftar, was murdered.
Classes at a Benghazi college were suspended after gunmen fired at a bus carrying female students.

The al-Qaeda-linked Lions of Monotheism group vowed to help Ansar al Sharia battle Hftar’s forces. Ansar al Sharia vowed to defend “our city [Benghazi] and our land,” claiming that the assault by General Hftar’s forces was “a war against … Islam orchestrated by the United States and its Arab allies.”
Fighting in Benghazi between Salafist militants and Cyrenaica’s Libyan National Army left scores of people dead and wounded.
The puppet-rat “government” army announced a no-fly zone over Benghazi, reportedly to prevent Haftar’s forces from
using air power against Salafists there. A bomb destroyed Ansar al Sharia‘s radio station in Benghazi. At least

وحسب نفس المصادر، فإن مطار طرابلس الدولي استقبل خلال الفترة الأخيرة عددا هاما من المقاتلين العائدين من سوريا.
وتتزامن عودة هؤلاء المقاتلين مع نشر دعوات لقادة إرهابيين وزعماء جماعات مسلحة على صفحات التواصل الاجتماعي تدعو مناصريها المغاربة في صفوف الجيش الحر السوري والتنظيمات المناهضة للجيش النظامي السوري إلى العودة حالا إلى ليبيا لنصرة إخوانهم من خطر خليفة حفتر.
وأفادت “التونسية” أن تنظيم أنصار الشريعة الليبي وتنظيم القاعدة ببلاد المغرب الإسلامي نجح في حشد حوالي 12 ألف مقاتل نصفهم من الليبيين، إلى حد الآن، فيما ينتظر وصول نحو 6000 مقاتل مغاربي مازالوا عالقين في سوريا.
