How lucky are we that we get to spend New Year’s Eve in Hong Kong? If I was going to design the perfect location for a NYE celebration, I’d include a spectacular skyline,  jaw-dropping fireworks and perfect weather for toasting the arrival of the new year on a terrace somewhere.

If you just feel like hanging out on the harbour front with the crowds, be sure to get there early to grab a prime spot for the countdown. Our roundup of HK’s best bars and restaurants with amazing views will help you find the ideal place for a meal or a cheeky cocktail.

But if you’re ready to party, try one of these glam events that all have one thing in common, views of HK’s iconic skyline and the firework display. Make this NYE a memorable one.
