Just like in Weeks 7 and 8, Week 11 has been granted by the Ballers to yours truly for another week of my top personal picks that could help you win and put some cash in your wallets this weekend. You can follow me on Twitter @brandontsanders. Even though The Daily Dose will not be featured on today’s podcast, please don’t miss out on Episode #311.
Quarterbacks
Week 11 is going to bring us some familiar names back to fold here on the Daily Dose. We’ve got one that you will have to pay up big for, but the matchup is way too juicy not to. However, we have two other options that could save you some coin on your budget and help you fill out at those other important positions to rake in some winnings for Week 11. Let’s look at our passers this week.
Tom Brady @ SF, $9,300
It’s not the same discount that we got TB12 for last week, but if you are looking for the top matchup for a quarterback, you’ve found him. It’s hard not to start Tom Brady almost every week anyways, but with the lights out performance Brady has given the past few weeks, you just can’t ignore him this week. Yes, Rob Gronkowski may not play this weekend, but look for Brady to start passing it off to Martellus Bennett and his talented receiving corps. Not to mention a possible return for Dion Lewis, who is a pass-catching machine in the backfield. If you’re looking for comfort at QB, Brady is your guy.
Kirk Cousins vs GB, $7,600
It’s time to set all Phasers to stun as Captain Kirk is in for a tasty treat this weekend against a decimated Green Bay Packers defense, plagued with injuries and miscues. Green Bay has allowed 37 points per game over the last 3 games. We could see a big spike in production from Rule 86 (Jordan Reed), and rising wide receiver Jamison Crowder, as Kirk Cousins could find the time and a rhythm to pass on Green Bay. Cousins has also been over 18 FanDuel points in the last 4 games. A great discount compared to Brady, but equal production could be debated for this matchup as well.
Tyrod Taylor @ CIN, $7,300
“T-Mobile” is back and has a great opportunity to help owners really stack on some fantasy points this weekend as he takes on a Cincinnati Bengals team that hasn’t been as dominant on defense like in years prior. Currently, the Bengals are ranked 17th against the pass, and 24th versus the run. If it isn’t scary enough the Bills have Shady McCoy in their backfield, Tyrod gets his nickname from being a very good running QB. He has 4 rushing TDs which ranks 1st overall among QBs. He also has been effective in the passing game as well, moving in the pocket, and finding time to move the sticks forward. He had an impressive outing against the Seahawks defense, going for 289 passing yards, 1 pass TD, and 1 rush TD. At this price point, you can really do a good job of stacking at other positions and let Tyrod do his thing.
Running Backs
When it comes to the rushing attack this week, you can play the sure and safe candidates available, or take a swing at players more against the grain in hopes of defeating your opponents. Let’s look at a couple solid options and one sneaky, fun play for GPP as well.
DeMarco Murray @ IND, $8,500
I can’t stress enough how impressive DeMarco Murray has been this whole season. He has played lights out football, and last week recorded his first ever career passing touchdown in the NFL! The Colts continue to struggle and are also trying to survive the rest of the year. They’re currently ranking 22nd against the rushing game and that means it’s a green light to play Murray. He’s the safest option, and still a bit of a discount at $8,500. Pick him up and make him your RB1.
Spencer Ware vs TB, $7,700
Coming in at a bit more affordable pricing is Spencer Ware in Week 11. He gets to matchup against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that currently ranks as the 28th overall defense in the league. With Ware more of the ground and pound type of guy that he is, if the Chiefs can establish a run dominant attack early, this could spell out a big game for Spencer. Ware currently averages 13.9 FanDuel fantasy points per game, and averages 71.5 rushing yards per game for the season. A confident play at a discount never hurts when solidifying a stacked team. The matchup is juicy and should be taken advantage of here.
Thomas Rawls vs PHI, $5,100
The “Rawls Royce” is getting ready to leave the garage, my friends! That’s right, Thomas Rawls is practicing in full and is set to make his return as the lead back for the Seattle Seahawks as they take on the 13th ranked rushing defense in the Philadelphia Eagles. Understandably, everyone is enamored by C.J. Prosise with his ability to catch and produce out of the backfield; the guy is going to have a great career. But, let’s not forget when Thomas Rawls was 100% healthy last season. He punished opposing defenses and ran with a purpose. He may be splitting some work this week, but for the price point this is a super sneaky pick and could pay off big time for those in GPP tournaments this weekend. Other than that, I would hold off for those playing head to head or 50/50 games.
Wide Receivers
So I’m not going to lie, there is going to be some really obvious choices at wideout this week. A couple of big names need to be played due to who their matchup, but we will add one more that will have a bit more bang for the buck, for those looking for some bargains for their budget.
Antonio Brown @ CLE, $8,900
Although Antonio Brown isn’t the most expensive WR this week, he still is a must own because the rule of thumb is- you play your guys against the Browns. A no-brainer for sure here folks, if you saved some cash by grabbing one these less expensive options above, please pay up and grab AB and let him rack up some FanDuel points for you this weekend.
Allen Robinson @ DET, $7,300
“A-Rob” has increased his catches and yardage total for the third straight game and has found pay dirt in the passing game in back-to-back appearances. The Jaguars’ top receiver has regained the form that saw him reach 1,400 receiving yards last season, having topped 70 in three straight after doing so just once in his first six games. He proved capable of delivering in a difficult matchup and should have no problem finding a better amount of production against a much less intimidating Lions pass defense, who currently ranks 18th against the pass. A much cheaper option than Brown as well, with top WR1 scoring.
Jamison Crowder vs GB, $6,300
That’s right it’s time to stack this weekend boys and girls! Jamison Crowder is transcending into a red-zone threat each week for the Redskins. Last week he caught a four-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter. The yardage wasn’t all there due to him having to be paired up against a tough Minnesota Vikings’ secondary, but the targets and the looks are there each time from Kirk Cousins. He has clearly emerged as one of the top options in the passing attack and has 23 catches and 304 yards to go along with three touchdowns over his last four games. He will look to continue his recent success next week against the Packers who rank 16th against the pass currently. That $6,300 is also pretty sweet for that budget too!
Tight Ends
It’s time once again to get our safety hazard suits and boots on, and wade through the stinky position of tight end to see what we can find for production. Here are three that I believe can get the job done for you in Week 11.
Jordan Reed vs GB, $6,900
I think we know the about Rule 86. If Jordan Reed is playing, you play him in your lineup. The stacking idea continues here as the matchup looks amazing for Reed and he creates a lot of mismatches for Green Bay’s secondary. We saw how Delanie Walker made the Packers look the part of the fool last Sunday, and could we see a similar trend for Rule 86. He’s a little pricey but might be worth the weight in budget spent. Try to stack all three of these Redskins together if possible for max outcome.
Cameron Brate vs KC, $5,600
Welcome back to “The Daily Dose” Mr. Brate! The third-year tight end has now gotten into the end zone in three straight games and already has a career-high 35 receptions. His value to the offense has expanded and grown with the release of Austin Seferian-Jenkins, as well as injuries to V-Jax and Russell Shepard. Cameron Brate has delivered almost every time that Winston has called upon him, bringing in 18 of 21 targets over the last four games. “When it’s time for him to step up, he always finds a way,” said Winston. Kansas City is a bit tougher being 13th against the pass, but this connection between the two leads me to think you need to stay in the flames and ride this out with Brate.
Martellus Bennett @ SF, $5,200
The steal of the week goes to the man known as the “Black Unicorn” and has a very interesting opportunity coming up this week. Even though Gronk is in questionable status, reporters are saying that he may not even travel with the team this week, and if that’s the case Martellus Bennett is going to shoot up the tight end rankings. You have to be cautious of the ankle injury that has shown up recently with Bennett, but if he’s cleared and a full go, he is so inexpensive for FanDuel this week, that I personally feel he’s a must start. Then the budget can go to these bigger names that were mentioned earlier.
Defenses
This week with no really super dominant choices at defense, it’s best to play to the best matchups. Here are the 3 most probable lopsided contests that I would put the opposing defense out there to help you win your Week 11 contests:
New England Patriots @ SF, $4,900
Pittsburgh Steelers @ CLE, $4,900
Los Angeles Rams vs MIA, $4,700
Be sure to stop by next week as we will have all new picks for Week 12! Remember to catch all of Episode #311 of The Fantasy Footballers Podcast. Thanks, and see all of you awesome DFS fans next week!
