Snapchat has 100 million daily users snapping 9,000 updates per second. Two hundred million monthly active users send 700 million photos/videos, which are viewed 500 million times per day. With over 60 percent of the US population between 18 and 24 years using Snapchat and clocking seven million mobile video views (Facebook has eight million), Snapchat is incredible to reach out to millennials.

From being a niche selfie and sexting platform, Snapchat trailblazers are using this platform to share some of the best content. While the younger generation has grown up with it, the rest of us need to get used to it.

The following seven influencers are extremely successful in their domains, doing Snapchat the right way. Each one is different in their approach. They show you what you can do on Snapchat. Download the app, return daily to see their updates and in a week you’ll be Snapchatting like a pro. Sooner or later it clicks and you get hooked. I am.

#1. Mark Suster – msuster

A serial entrepreneur turned VC at Upfront Ventures, Mark Suster is known to have the best VC blog. On Snapchat, he tells the truth about being both an entrepreneur and a VC.

His daily Snapstorms include discussing the technicalities of funding, M&A, acquisition and lessons learnt as an entrepreneur.

#2. Justin Kan – justinkan

A partner at Y-Combinator, Justin Kan is a well-known entrepreneur. He cofounded Justin.tv, Socialcam (acquired for $60 million) and Twitch.tv (acquired by Amazon for $970 million).

He engages with his followers by answering questions on startups, tech, co-founder relations and fitness. As a fitness enthusiast, he talks about the importance of workouts (while working out). His answers are an indication of what he thinks makes a great idea. Sometimes, he lets other people take over his channel for pitching.

#3. Gary Vaynerchuk – garyvee

Gary Vaynerchuk, a serial entrepreneur, hustler, public speaker and an investor in Snapchat, Uber and Tumbler operates with insane amount of energy 24/7.

One of the most influential business person on Snapchat, he posts tips on entrepreneurship, hustle and a sneak-peak into his daily life. As a powerhouse of energy, he puts in more hours into work than most of us.

#4. John Kapos – chocjohnny

As a third generation chocolatier of Perfection Chocolate in Sydney, John Kapos shares content people would love to see (and eat).

His snaps include talking to customers (including those coming to visit him from other countries) and engaging the audience in contests (naming of new chocolate delicacies). His behind the scene videos involving the staff and preparation of delectable treats are my favorite.

#5. DJ Khaled – djkhaled305

The rapper, American record producer and radio personality DJ Khaled uses Snapchat daily to show his true self.

He dominates Snapchat with his “elliptical talk” and catch-phrases such as “key to life”, “bless up” and “give thanks to the most high”. People love to see the lifestyle of celebrities; he shows the reality of his life. The hard work he puts in motivates us to push harder. The best part, he connects with his fans and appreciates them.

#6. Virginia Salas Kastilio – ginicanbreathe

As a Snapchat + YouTube influencer, Virginia helps some of the world’s largest brands (including Nasdaq) on how to use this platform.

She consults and creates marketing strategies and video content for brands on Snapchat. As an influencer and creator on Snapchat, companies pay her $2,800 for a single Snapchat story and up to $18,000 for three-month order of weekly stories.

#7. Joel Comm – joelcomm

Joel Comm is an internet pioneer, New York Times bestselling author, professional speaker and a Twitter influencer.

He shows how to post content on various social networks without being repetitive. Inspirational and often outright entertaining, follow him on Snapchat to learn to post different kinds of content on different platforms.
