I’ve never really known what I want.
I have always craved freedom and independence, adventure, and challenges. But something tangible, some life goal, or a life milestone? Nope. Never, really. I’m, in fact, terrible at making decisions. It seems life has more often than not made decisions for me. And as I look back I know life has always served me well – Probably better than any decision I would of made.

Life is like that, isn’t it? We think we should have so much figured out. We should have a secure future and a plan and our ducks lined up in a row and know exactly where we are going.
And what do I say to that? I say that is complete utter nonsense.
Sometimes decisions get made for us. And for some, like myself, it’s the ONLY way things evolve, manifest, and happen.

Life is messy and unpredictable and if you don’t have it “figured out” is okay. We think we have control of so much, when in fact we have control over so little. Go with the flow, let life make a decision or two for you – You may be pleasantly surprised at the outcome.
Bridalveil Fall
Remember at the beginning of this post I said “I’ve never really known what I want?”
When I first visited the California mountains I actually did know what I wanted. I knew I wanted to live in these mountains.
And so I am – I’m making a home in the California mountains. Not too far at all from this place. If I could I’d live in Yosemite, but since I can’t I’m in the next best thing. In the upcoming weeks I’ll tell you all about my new home and the mountains and the trees I’ll be surrounded by. In the meantime please enjoy some Yosemite Valley eye-candy.
El Capitan
So I may have known I wanted to live in the California mountains but I didn’t know that until I actually came to the California mountains. Circumstances brought me to California, curiosity and a broken heart drove me to the mountains, and with that combination life made a decision for me. And I couldn’t be happier.
