JOB TITLE: Residential Childcare Workers

SALARY & BENEFITS: Pay starting at £7.50 (for 25's and over)

WORKING HOURS: Full time, Part Time and Bank vacancies available

THE COMPANY: Our client is currently one of the largest and most innovative providers of education and residential care to children within the UK. They strive to provide strategies, support and solutions to some of the most difficult challenges involving young people.

THE ROLE: Our client is currently recruiting for Residential Childcare Workers to join their team in Chapletown, Sheffield. The role is a demanding yet rewarding role, you will be required to develop relationships with the young people and provide a safe caring environment for them.

Key Responsibilities for the Residential Childcare Workers based in Chapletown, Sheffield:-

Encourage and support the young people with all of their daily living needs in line with their individual care plan

Implement and maintain clear and consistent boundaries

Be the first point of contact for the young persons' social worker

Assisting with reports on progress, developing in-house placement plans, and contributing to statutory review reports

Providing the young people with emotional and social support

Recording the young people's daily and monthly progress and updating their files and child protection records

Work closely with your manager and team, and all other healthcare professionals

Carry out domestic duties when required within the home and garden, as well as planning and preparing meals

THE CANDIDATE: To be successful in the role Residential Childcare Workers you need to be an organised and tolerant individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships. Experience is not essential for this role as full training will be provided.

Keys Skills and Experience for Residential Childcare Workers based in Chapletown, Sheffield :-

Experience is not essential as full training will be provided, however experience of working with children would be desirable

Experience of working with children in residential childcare would be desirable

You must be willing to work towards and be committed to working towards NVQ or QCF level 3 award in Health and Social Care : Children and Young People

A full UK Driving Licence is not essential, but would be desirable
