Quijas made great use of her time at EKU! In addition to her Biomedical Science degree with concentration in Biomedical Research, Quijas was also in EKU's Honors Program and the McNair Scholars Program. She spent a large portion of time researching Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) in EKU's chemistry labs, played women's rugby, and worked as a manager with the football team.
