So, here’s the list of the top coolest providers which offer the said services

Acronis- Led by CEO Serguei Beloussov and headquartered in Burlington- Massachusetts, the Acronis backup Cloud offers backup services for data from any source and backs it up in private, public or on a local appliance. The service is powerful enough to restore data to any destination and system. On an additional note in July’15 Acronis Backup Cloud services were expanded to Microsoft SQL and Exchange capabilities and a new private cloud based file sync and share service.

Asigra- Asigra Cloud Backup is an enterprise class data protection software solution which is offered by the said company which is based in Toronto-Ontario. David Farajun is the CEO of the company. The software solution has integrated approach which includes virtual machine replication to protect all sources and types of corporate data. From last year, Asigra Cloud Backup has started to focus on converged data protection for physical, virtual, cloud and mobile computing environments.

Barracuda Networks- Led by President and CEO William Jenkins, Barracuda Backup combines on-premises and cloud data protection in a single application that integrates with other Barracuda applications for messaging and archiving. The company in the year 2015 unveiled the Barracuda Backup Virtual Appliance (Vx), a software solution for virtualized environments, and acquired Intronis to expand its presence in the MSP market.

Carbonite- Headquartered in Boston, and led by Mohamad Ali- President and CEO, this consumer cloud backup provider started to focus on business cloud based data protection. Last year, the company acquired Seagate’s Evault Business continuity and disaster recovery business.

Ctera Networks- This New York based company which is being led by Co-founder and CEO Liran Eshel offers Hybrid Cloud data protection, enterprise file sync and share, remote and branch office storage, and managed NAS capabilities. In October last year, the company announced that it Ctera Enterprise File Services Platform supports the Amazon S3 Infrequent Access Storage Tier, which provides a cost-effective option for storing and retaining long term data.

CommVault- This New Jersey based company led by President and CEO Robert Hammer is a developer of end to end cloud based data protection, infrastructure management, and retention and compliance technology for midsize and enterprise businesses. In October last year, CommVault revamped its data protection technology with open standards based capabilities, and dropped its well known Simpana brand name in favor of its new CommVault Data Platform brand.

Egnyte- This Mountain View, California based company is being led by Vineet Jain, co-founder and CEO. It offers Adaptive Enterprise File Sync and Share Services with secure and intelligent access to shared files stored on-premise and in the cloud. As said earlier, the solution allows secure access to and helps in sharing corporate data from any device within a VPN while allowing collaboration between multiple users inside and outside an organization.

Panzura- John Peters is the CEO of this Campbell, California based company. Panzura’s Global Cloud Storage System integrates three components- The Panzura Controller physical or virtual appliance deployed on-premise or in the cloud; The Panzura SkyBridge software for creating a hybrid cloud that includes the corporate data center and the Panzura Global File System for accessing and collaborating from anywhere.

Its Cloud Backup Connect is an easy and affordable way to begin storing your valuable server and workstation backups in the cloud. StoneFly CDR365 is a perfect online backup solution that automates data backup to secure cloud storage. Additionally, in 2015, StoneFly introduced StoneFly Cloud Drive service which offers enterprise remote iSCSI drive or Scale out NAS solution in Microsoft Azure cloud. This on the fly storage can be used as a primary storage, remote backup, remote replication for DR. SoftNAS- SoftNAS develops software defined NAS solutions and protects mission critical data through any combination of public, private, and hybrid clouds, including Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Century Link Cloud, VMware vSphere and vCloud Air environments. This Houston based company which is being led by Founder, CEO and CTO Rick Braddy

Veeam- Veeam provides data protection leveraging virtualization, storage and cloud technologies. Last year, the company introduced Veeam Availability Suite v8 with Veeam Cloud Connect that lets service providers offer cloud based data protection. It also introduces Veeam Availability Suite v9 with Veeam Cloud Connect Replication for disaster recovery as a service. Veeam is headquartered in Baar, Switzerland and is being led by Ratmir Timashev, President and CEO.
