Nextbit chooses a wireless services company, Verizon Communication Inc., to release the cloud-based smartphone with the Verizon version.
Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) is hired by the Nextbit to get the services for its smartphone, known as “Robin”. For production of that mobile phone, approximately $500,000 investment is required. The firm has finally chosen the Verizon wireless communication company across the board and provided a surprise bonus to its followers.
In the past, Nextbit offered an Adapter reward program to AT&T Inc. and T-Mobile customers. Following the same trend, the Robin smartphone is backing both the carriers. Nextbit is introducing a flash sale that is going to start on September 18 with Verizon prepaid which is currently on board. The flash sales commenced at 10 a.m. according to the Pacific Time and permitted around 300 supporters from United States to acquire VZ version of cloud smartphone with the price tag of $299.
The supporters, which already exist, can also be attracted towards the Verizon supported cellphone as the flash sale ends. The organization will conduct an analysis after the campaign gets over on October 1, where supporters who registered themselves for the cellphone program will able to select the carrier of their choice.
The Robin Kickstarter agreement document indicates the figure that supporters can put, including the bonus they will receive for their financial investment. The mobile and battery charger cost stood with the price tag of $349. At the same time, the customers can also receive prior vinyl mascot toy and protector by paying another $50. The bulk offer for the special distributer package contains around 20 mobile phones with charging adopters and can be received at the cost of $6,950, which is a good deal for those who were willing to take speculation over the advance mobiles.
It is expected that the shipment for the mobile will be put forward during the next year in early February. The cellphones are offered in two different colors – mint and midnight color – but Nextbit has assured that in order to attract customers, the smartphones will be available in five different colors. The users will use Robin Photoshop file to give their input to adjust color description for the entire mobile from top to bottom housing case as well as volume buttons.
The new smartphone will have the configurations, which includes 100 gigabytes online storage capacity, 32 GB offline storage, equipped with 13-mp rear camera and 5-mp front camera, 3GB RAM, as well as 5.2-inch screen with high-resolution screen for quality display.
