On July 10, 2020 Stitch Labs made the announcement that we have been acquired by Square with the longer term goal to sunset the Stitch Labs product in Spring of 2021. We are working diligently to build future products within Square that will be able to support most of the current customer base before the official sunset.
However, there are workflows that will be too complicated to be supported by the initial Square offering. Since the announcement of acquisition, the Stitch Labs and Square teams have been reaching out to other platforms with similar offerings to Stitch Labs. This was done as a way to help our customers be successful in choosing the correct next path for their business. Specifically for customers that have elaborate routing needs, EDI, API, or 3PL integrations.
For customers in this cohort, we recommend either a direct Stitch Labs replacement or to consider a full ERP integration.
Stitch Labs Direct Replacements
The first path is towards a platform similar to Stitch Labs. After a deep dive into other options in the space, we have partnered with Brightpearl and Cin7 to support Stitch lab customers who need to migrate. Both platforms offer strong solutions to the needs of the Stitch Labs customer.
Brightpearl
Brightpearl impressed us with their ability to reduce operational complexities with their automation engine. In addition to advanced automation, they have a full suite of features and integrations to help with order management, replenishment, retail accounting, inventory, warehouse management and more.
We recommend Brightpearl especially in instances where a customer needs an all in one omnichannel system with a robust automation engine to easily create rules based on business workflows, flexible accounting choice, and configurable warehouse fulfillment workflows.

We recommend Cin7 especially for customers who sell through multiple channels, and those who are dependent on wholesale, or who have a growing number of locations, and want EDI/3PL customizations. Cin7’s onboarding specialists are very experienced at transitioning businesses from Stitch Labs to Cin7 quickly and efficiently, and their in-house EDI/3PL team can help you get up and running quickly.

Full ERP Integration
The second path is to consider moving to a full ERP solution. ERP solutions may be most appropriate for customers that are outgrowing their finance solution and plan to move to an ERP for robust financial management.
Full stack ERP solutions are recommended for customers that would like to manage all key business functions in one place.
Note that an ERP integration can take longer than other integrations depending on complexity of desired workflows
